There is a simple way to make content theft impossible.

All you need to do is make all content only accessible or viewable inside of a 3D rendering engine.

Basically.. you have to create a very simple virtual world that people connect to in order to view your content... and there is no way they can rip or steal that content.. only view it..

of course they need to download the software / install it and login / server connect first.. but you can't everything convenient.

don't want to change how things are done then let them keep stealing all your chit.

The only way to make it impoosible to steal, is to never upload it in the first place. To go even further, theoretically your house / office could be burgled, and the content stolen that way...

The the only way to guarantee 100% your content isn't stolen, is to not create it in the first place. If it doesn't exist, it can't be stolen, but if it exists, it can.

What's to stop someone setting up a 4K camera, (Could even just be a 4K phone...) on a tripod, in a glare free environment, and filming the screen that the content is displayed upon?

Yes they can be blocked from launching inside the environment.. all third party apps can be blocked

Pray do tell exactly what 'trouble' there is? Nearly everyone already has a cellphone - Nearly every cellphone shoots video at 4K. You don't need a professional tripod. Just prop the cellphone up.

Once done, you now have your copied content in a format that it can be easily distributed. You have it on a device that is designed to enable easy distribution of it.

I get what you are saying, and ten years ago that might have been a viable idea. Yet ten years ago, you didn't have the 3D software to do it. Now ten years on you do... But you also have cellphones.

I'm not condoning theft. Just being realistic that everyone has the ability to circumvent ANY copy protection now at the end of 2019... Right there in their pocket already...

Actually, why bother with a phoone? Press 'Windows Key + G' and 'Game Bar' pops up...

Built in to record you playing a game at the same resolution that you are playing it at, and directly record the sounds that are coming through your system. Saved conveniently into a folder of your choice as soon as you tell it to stop...

It will ask if you are recording a game (it doesn't know) so just click yes and off you go... If windows is displaying on the screen, windows will do a pixel perfect audio and video capture of it for you...

There you have it - Perfect screencapture built directly into windows itself, with no need to even install additional software... 2020 is the FUTURE!

The overwhelming majority of a paysite's users will be legit people just accessing for their own needs. It's quite easy to identify the bad players if you collect lots of data on what average (read: nearly all) subscribers access in a given month and how (avg amount download, avg amount streamed, etc.).

3D engine worlds, advanced fingerprinting, etc may be overkill for simple data monitoring and email notifications sent to you if a subscriber does something suspicious.

you could do it with google glasses or some VR headset...make a retina scanner, so that when the user does not wear the headset, the scanner disables the device...nothing to capture...

Packet sniffer like wireshark will show me the URL the video is streaming from, unless you also want to make a different proprietary video encoding format for every website
