As for night clubs, you need to visit both "Nautilus", a huge place and "The Essential" which is another large club. There are more "working girls" at The Essential, but it's still possible to meet and talk to plenty of locals.
As for the city: There is the Freedom Monument, celebrating their independence from the Soviet union. The Dome Cathedral, just an amazing building! Riga Castle, again just one of those historic places. There is the Open Air Ethnographic Museum, very interesting but maybe not at -10 degrees. Instead, go indoors and see the exibition at The Museum of the Occupation of Latvia. Mostly about their time during World War 2 but also the time before and after. The exibition is very close in theme and colors as the Oklahoma City bombing museum. Nice and worth taking the time. You can also take a boat trip on the river, very nice to do on a sunny day.
