How's this for a good lunch.

Kale, raw beets, broccoli, almonds, black chia seeds, carrots, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, local honey, water, ice cubes.

Because we rush through things, we don't chew our food 30 times like we're supposed to and so a lot of the nutrients in the food doesn't digest as it should. It's easier for our body to digest pulverized food extracting all of the nutrients, making it easy for our body to pull out the good and get rid of the junk.

At least that's what the infomercial that made me buy one said.

Dunno, can it really make difference? I know it has been studied that it makes difference (energy wise) that the food is cooked, and also chopped (by teeth), but I think there is a diminishing return, and teeth do quite good job anyways (plus the rest of your digestion system).

I've been traveling for a few months now and have made it a point to eat fruit for breakfast, juice stuff for lunch then go out at night and do whatever.

It's to easy to eat bad food so I just load the room fridge up and avoid prepared food for 2 meals a day.

Yes, but if you don't properly chew your food as most people don't because they rush then you miss nutrients you would have gotten.

For instance, Chia seeds. Supposed to be FABULOUS for you. I put them on my salad and whatever, but how many of those little seeds are not broken open by my teeth and just swallowed making it hard for my body to get the nutrients, or just not getting it at all and passing it when you go.

When it's pulverized your body can easily get what it needs and get rid of the rest. Digestion is faster, easier and you get every bit of vitamins out of that food that you possibly can. It makes complete sense to me. And that's saying something lol.

Haven't you ever thrown up and seen chunks of food in there? It's harder for your body to get through digesting that because it has to break it all down taking longer, making you more sluggish and tired.

It is true that thorough mastication of food aids in digestion for several reasons.

The smaller the particles the food bits are the faster (and more importantly) effectively they can be digested in the stomach and then move into the intestines where most of the actual absorption of the nutrients are extracted.

The chewing 30 times was an average that some study found and it is actually a good "rule of thumb" for most food. It is especially good for Americans who tend to over eat and continue to eat well after they are actually full but do not realize it because they have eaten too quickly due to not chewing long enough (so for that reason alone it is a good idea).

Also, digestion actually STARTS IN THE MOUTH and this is especially true with starches which a surprising number of foods contain totally or in part. Examples would be breads, pastas, certain vegetables such as potatoes are nearly all starch.

The saliva starts this digestion by breaking them down from complex carbohydrates into sugar. If you crave a sweet for example and only have crackers chew one for that 30 times and you will see that it turns very sweet.

Another little known fact is that by thoroughly chewing beans or any food that is known for farting. It can be greatly reduced by starting the digestion process in the mouth so that by the time it reaches the intestines where the bacteria there breakdown for you (yes you have billions of them in your gut) they will have much less work to do and less byproduct of that work which is...wait for it...methane gas...also known as the common FART!

There you go...enough fucking information than you ever thought there was about chewing your fucking food!

Your veggie puree drink looks great BTY

Yes, you might miss some nutrients sometimes, but does it really make a difference? Eat a tad more and that is it.

Also, you body is supposed to have shit. Believe me, I am currently taking "medicine" that adds bulk (into shit). It is like sourdough; there must be enough left that the system works.

It also doesn't hurt to eat more slowly and to chew a tad more.

So are you saying that you should have a *insert crappy word* reserve at all times to keep things working? Do you have IBS or something? I think you're saying you take medicine to make your *insert crappy word* more solid?

I think if you digested food properly you would never be full of *insert crappy word*. You would go multiple times a day and your body would be moving it out much faster than if you don't chew correctly and your body now has to break down these chunks of food.

I'm told it also chops the hell out of weed if you want to make butter or oil for cooking.

Yes, there is supposed to be shit in reserve at all times. They even make shit transports if you have depleted your reserves too badly, or whatever it is called in English (from one colin to another).

I don't think it is natural or good to crap multiple times in a day. Also, I don't have IBS, but drinking got my "stomach" a tad loose and that is why I am taking that "medicine", it is simply some stuff to add bulk literally. I have taken it now during 5 days and it works.

Very big part of your immune system is in your digestive system, and the immune part (bacteria) lives mainly in the shit. The shit transport is really about transporting those bacterias. Treat "nasty word" with respect. Though, maybe not like CurrentlySober.

this is the ground turkey chili recipe i use. I tried it when i first saw it in the August 1990 issue of Men's Fitness magazine, it was so good i tore the page out and have it in my recipes file still and have made it many many times.

it's scrumptious and nutritious

A few seconds and it's dust perfect for making oil/butter, no need to even strain it. I just spatula the cooled contents directly into the mix.
