Ripping DVD's To Digital Files

So I was going through some of my DVDs this weekend and putting some of the movies that included free digital copies on my laptop. Some of the 'free' digital file downloads had expired which f-ing pisses me off.

What can I use to rip movies to the laptop. I don't really need the special features. Most of the movies are for my kids actually, lol....

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cinematize 2.0 is the program you want. I use it all the time to rip client DVD to be used in their projects.

I've never claimed any of the free digital versions. That sucks if they have expiration dates on them.

I tried ALOT of the diffirent DVD backup programs and in some cases they can deliver good results. But I usually had problems with audio being out of sync, etc.

So after doing lots of research, I found the free program Handbrake, which can be downloaded here: http://handbrake.fr/

It can be super easy or you can go advanced on it. But the most important thing is that it delivers great results. Audio is synced, Picture quality great, etc.

Check it out!

Step 1. Use Windows and an app called 'AnyDVD' to rip complete & strip all encryption.
Step 2. Use a Mac from here on.
Step 3. Use DVD2OneX2 to complete the stripping of menus, extras, and all other bullshit down to 'movie only'.
Step 4. Use Handbrake to encode to the format of your choosing.
Step 5. (Optional) Use DVD2OneX2 again to reburn to multiple DVD disks.

Optionally (depending on the strength of encryption)
Step 1. Use a Mac.
Step 2. Launch Fairmount.
Step 3. Insert DVD.
Step 4. Use DVD2OneX2 to Rip & Strip.
Step 5. Use Handbrake to encode to format of your choosing.
Step 6. (Optional) Use DVD2OneX2 again to reburn to multiple DVD disks.
