Personally, I thought it was over-the-top horrible and it felt extremely fake and shallow. Not to mention the massive number of low-talent douchbags they decided to try to pack into it. The original at least seemed to stand for something. In other words, I absolutely hated it.

I agree with you fella. It did seem shallow and fake. Then again, look at the music industry now, it's full of no talents and one hit wonders. Gone are the days you can buy a record (CD) and be able to play it from beginning to end. That's why I steal my music now.
