We now have tube site owning crooks stealing from Sponsors and Content Producers, who in turn are happy shooting crack whores who need a $200 fix, and affiliates who are only to happy to sell signups to any site at all, provided they get their $35 commission. Who's worse?

Tubes and most of the other big sites are kept alive by cam sites, and dating companies, the latter fabricate typically 50% of their profiles, if not more, so that sad saps who are sitting at home tugging their junk nightly, think they may stand a faint chance of actually hooking up with someone who doesn't look like a moose, who live "around the corner in *insert Geo IP location* here".

The whole industry is morally bankrupt.

What industry isn't morally bankrupt?

Remember, ethics are a direct result of what we, in an frame of time, perceive to be wrong/right. This is ever changing - hell, it's only in the last 50 or so years that black people have any real rights at all.

Also, the fantasy aspect of joining a dating site and jacking off to profile pictures of girls who contact you is more than enough for your average Joe.

Why would I want to invest hours of my life and a heap of money into a woman just to get something I can do myself for free? (I make this point for those of you out there who aren't like me (an alpha male who's had his fair share of free pussy because he's that gorgeous))

That's the way all businesses are. I might not believe in the bible, but there is one verse in it that rings completely true to my mind, namely, that money is the root of all evil. If you think the porn industry is bad, you should see the music industry. There is one company that gets ahold of all the records of recently filed copyrights on songs and sends out letters to the writers/composers telling them how great their song is and offering to help them get cuts. They proceed to con the writers into overpaying for demos and then they send a few of the demos out to major record labels who toss unsolicited submissions into the garbage can unopened. If they ever get sued, they have an argument that they fulfilled all the terms of their agreement with the poor suckers they conned.

Looking at what is shaking out over the most recent month, in terms of legal problems for some folks, poor ethics may not pay as well as some have worried.

Might be naive on my part, but I like to believe that there are still a lot of people with good values in the industry.

Here is a time line for you.

In the beginning when there was a lot of money going around, the "fucking people" attitude was a lot less. Although you still had the greedy people who did shit with spyware, dialers, banged credit cards, etc... to try to make as much as they could.

As the money started to dry up the fucking of the surfers got more intense. You started seeing cross sales, hidden cross sales, cross sales on cancel pages, cross sales in the members area, member's personal info being sold, etc.

Once the surfer was fucked as much as possible to make up for more loss of revenue next was to fuck the affiliates. Change terms that screw affiliates, increase affiliate fees, cancel for no reason, cancel for "inactivity" etc...

Now the full blown cannibalism will be starting where the new way to make up for loss revenue is to sue other companies.

When money gets tight people's ethics get questioned. Some had no ethics to start with and were just greedy, if they made 10 million they would screw who ever they could to try to make 20 million. Some had ethics when it was convenient, but once money started going down they would do whatever to make it back up. A few people have kept their ethics in tact. If you still standing and haven't turned to the dark side trying to screw someone else to make you money then !

Here's a story for you CunningStunt,

When I was 19 I got a job selling a vacuum cleaner called the "Tristar". That company lied in the job ad to get a bunch of naive young guys to come in for an interview. Everyone that came for an interview got "hired" with the promise of big paydays.

After a 1 week unpaid training course you were sent out to sell the vacuum cleaners for $2000 a pop. The thing shouldn't have cost more than $400 in a store.

Every afternoon a group of us went out to deliver scratch & win "contest" cards to low-income apartment buildings. This is how we generated sales leads. Every card was a "winner" so alot of people called in to claim their prize. The prize was a 2 night stay at a resort where they would try to sell you timeshares.

Instead of just delivering the prize I would show up at the people's home to get their "opinion" on a new product coming on the market. It was really a sales presentation. 2 hours later after vacuuming half their house I was grilling/hardselling them to buy the vacuum cleaner. After a while I was very good at shooting down their objections. We had outrageous financing options that could make the thing cost only $30/month for the next 10 years.

I sold many of them to suckers at the full price of $2000. I made $500 on every fullpriced sale. From an old couple that were living their last years all alone... to dumbass parents-to-be living in a basement apartment to ugly divorced milfs who bought hoping they would get a ride on my young stud cock.

I finally quit 6 months later when the company started fucking me over on my commissions.

Years later in university I found out the company was owned by a division of a division of a parent company that was owned by Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway.

Alot of industries are morally bankrupt.
