Yeah it's custom, they run a bunch of sites on this custom script, mainly it reads from rss feeds the sites provide. We do the same thing on some of our sites with our script as well, offer rss and read from... It's updating your site the easy way

And it's probably the only efficient way of updating if you have as many sites as they have.
