That immobilization system is pretty bad ass.
They say they started rolling it out 10 years ago -- it's the first I've heard of it! The things they can terminate remotely for non-payment keeps growing. Phones, cable, power, cars... One day the bank is going to be able to remotely force metal shutters to roll down over windows and doors if you're late on your mortgage. |

i called SOS a few times (mb's 'red button' version of onstar) to remotely diagnosis some crackling sounds. they couldn't fix it or find any problem, turned out to be a bad bose amp under the seat. anyhow the call center peeps were on the line about 2 minutes after hanging up and they did acknowledge they were still listening. its just fun callcenter time for them. can't really say they invaded ur privacy if you called them... i imagine remote covert listening is possible but whose got the time for that
