I have a huge project I've been procrastinating on and it's due Monday. I will have to dedicate my entire weekend to complete it, but lately I've been having a really hard time focusing. My friend gave me a couple Adderalls and said that it would make me focus like a laser beam.

Anyone here ever use or are using Adderall? Will it help me focus? I read up on it and I didn't like the possible side effect of "sudden death", but I'm desperate to get this project wrapped up.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

If you are going to try it I would say cut it into quarters and try it that way. I would bet most people don't need more then a quarter of a pill to get the positive effects.

It will definitely work. As long as you don't have any outside distractions, you will most likely knock out all of your work over the weekend. Since you've never done it before, 10mg should be plenty for about 6 hours. It isn't overwhelming at all unless you take way too much.

I would also suggest not to mix it with caffeine or other energy drinks as it tends to cause over-stimulation in some people (so wired you're buzzing and can't focus).

If you hit 10-20mg over the weekend, you'll most likely be more tired than usual on Monday and Tuesday.

You won't be very hungry and you'll be so focused on one thing that it might be easy to forget to drink fluid and eat... make sure you force yourself to.

They prescribe it to children as well as adults, you'll be fine.

From what I understand there is no benefit to snorting it, and its bad on your nasal cavities.

If you don't drink a lot of caffeine or aren't used to something like adderall start off small 5mg or so. Good for focus yes, have some gum on hand, as it does tend to make you knash your teeth if you tank too much.
