that is over the top, but as crazy as it sounds, look at the return rate. That does give you something to think about...
I'm curious how much % of those inmates are actually Norwegian?

Locking people in a cell with 1 hour of sunlight a day won't make them better people. On the contrary. Maybe the US should have a closer look at what Norway is doing. I don't know if such a prison can rehabilitate a person. But you only have to look at the prison industry in the US to see that something is going wrong in your country...

By William Lee Adams Monday, May. 10, 2010 I want a go of his time-machine. Locking people in a cell 23/34 just makes them used to being cooped up and treated badly. Out of the few people I know who have been in prison they found it very hard to adjust back to normal life once released and ending up back in prison seems an easy option if you need structure in your life. |
