American Beer is like making love in a canoe...

......Fucking close to water!!!!!!!!

ok so I heard that a few years ago, but given the dutch girls got kicked out of a stadium in South Africa for wearing a teeshirt with no branding on it, because Fifa is trying to protect Budweiser (a main sponsor), I thought it was topical.

now I can prepare my self for the backlash of morons who want to tell me that Coors light is the worlds best tasting beer because its cold.....

Plenty of delicious beer in the USA but you'll never find it bottled by some corporate turds.

Massively commercialized American beer is for sure

However America is home to some of the finest microbreweries out there, you're drinkin' the wrong stuff!

Let's see . . . first pic was Cortez, CO, with goodgirl,
Second was a micro brewery in Escondido, CA with seven friends and family
Third is with my son in Santa Barbara.

As far as the too much beer comment, what kind of a pussy are you? Less than two beers in the second two pics, and maybe 2.5 in the first.

You hung out with someone who may be a girl!

You have family!

Your sperm made a son!

You're just about perfect, let's work on your sense of humor and alcoholism a bit though.

You can go ask most people that are into beer around the world where the best beer is being brewed these days and they will say the USA! The craft beer movement has taken off and even in a bad economy is seeing huge growth and producing world class beers.

I didn't mean to imply you were Canadian, just quoting an experience.

But, at no time while in Canada did I think I was drinking American beer. No way.
I consider the CA beer to be better, even if not my favortie.(Except LaBatts..fuck that shit!)

Doesn't matter if the same company does make it because they will still use a different
brewing process.

Brewers in America have regulations they must obey when making beer and those laws
prevent them from making a beer that would be exactly equal to a German beer.
Otherwise it would be done in a heart beat or imported.

We can't legally import full German beer, the brewer must make a separate beer
under the same label to sell in America.

I only referenced German beer because that is the best known example.

yuck ... SO wrong!!! US beer best? ack, puke - NO! i was a beer bottle collector in my twen years sampling nearly 1900(!!!) sorts of beer travelling the world and US beer stands out - but negatively its pasteurized diluted panther piss! altho from germany, i'd vote for AUSTRIA to have the BEST beer on earth (their reinheitsgebot is even stricter than in germany and they brew it with clear mountain well water) ... serious; come to germany to have a good one, go to austria for the best edit: czech beer is pretty good as well (remember, budweiser originated there but its image was ruined by its same name US brew crap)

Where are you hearing this???

I could blindfold myself and stumble into a sewer and get washed down the
Rhine River and still come up with a better beer in the first German hell hole pub I see.

i had almost agreed with you, but i still prefer a Jever over any austrian beer (and they have a lot crappy ones too)

and theres nothing better than a fresh Pilsener Urquell right from the tab - living in CZ has some advantages

btw, Baddog, notice the foam? no foam = no beer

You've probably only had mass produced crappy beer from the US. As for a source as to who else thinks US beer is at the forefront of craft beer - Michael Jackson said so and if you know beer you will know that is Michael jackson 'The Beer Hunter' (from England, now deceased) and not the pop star. Go out and try a beer from one of the following and then get back to me:

Dogfish Head
Stone
Lagunitas
The Breuery
GreenFlash
Full Sail
Deschutes
Hair of the Dog
Oskar Blues
AVBC
Boulder Beer
Ommegang
Avery
Bear Republic
Allagash
Brooklyn

or one of the many, many more craft breweries in the US!

If you are talking about the normal beer that most regular Joe drinks, then yes, in some ways, you are right. But make no mistake about it, there are some very good American Beer that are exclusive to certain establishments and specially brewed for the connoisseurs

US micro brewery beer is pretty good. But for the best beer in the world try the micro breweries of South Western England. They call it ale down there and some will knock your socks off. And some will make you drunk as a skunk after a few glasses.

Most of the microbrew beer in the US is waaaaaaaaay too hoppy for me. Though I was in Ukiah (Northern CA) a few months ago, and tried some Ukiah Brewing Co. beer that was brewed with very few hops, and I liked it a lot.

I'm thinking of picking up a homebrew kit just for kicks.

American beer is inexpensive though right? 10 bucks a 12 pack or so.

These chicks with beer are funny.
Interesting photo: see: Karen O (singer) with champagne.
Karen O is hot. She does not do porn, I think.

Dogfish Head

Lagunitas

GreenFlash
Full Sail

Hair of the Dog
Oskar Blues
AVBC
Boulder Beer
Ommegang
Avery
Bear Republic
Allagash
Brooklyn

or one of the many, many more craft breweries in the US!
http://www.crickethillbrewery.com/ makes some pretty great beer also. The brewery is about 5 mins away and they have parties every friday there with free beer.

The South West of the UK and Wales are great for really good craft ciders, but for really trendy UK real ale fans 'Brew Dog' are making some great beer...I just couldn't get my hands on any Tactical Nuclear Penguin at 32% I think that would get my knickers off
