Is there a way to remove from google whois entries of your domains?

I using mostly public whois info on my domains, and i dont mind that, but what is disturbing,if you write my name and last name in google,it shows tons of whois entries and you can see my info directly plus almost all domains which i own.So is there a way to remove those entries from google?

good luck with that, your only hope is to change whois, and all the pages will eventually get updated...

Nop that doesn't work, one site stored info of one domain where i have privacy, and that probably happened during the the time when moniker dropped privacy when privacy should work.

Are you saying that when you use google search and enter your name then your domains
come up or are you using something else on google that you see this.

some sites scrape whois info so even if you turn whoisguard on the old info is still there. maybe the best bet world to be contact the site owner and ask.

I was thinking the same during the weekend. I search for my name or even street name (which is not very common) and I get my name in a bunch of whois info sites.

I imagine some of my neighbours must know by now of some of my domains.

There are certain circumstances where you can actually get them removed from Google.

1. First check to see if any of the scraper sites have "remove url," or "update/refresh info."
2. If the later, change your whois info and refresh the page so it shows the new info.
3. Login to your Google account and submit a cache url removal. http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals - For reason, enter "Content has already been removed from page."
4. Then enter the phrase that has been removed from the page. For example, if your name is John Smith, and you changed the whois to Mark Thompson. Enter just "John", don't enter "John Smith" because if there is any other word on the page with "smith" like blacksmith or whatever, you'll get denied. Just remove "John" and Google will take care of it.

One approved (usually takes 24-48 hours), Google will remove the cache from the listing, and in a few weeks the listing all together will be gone.

I don't pretend to know all the details of ICANN rules regarding domain information, but looking at the record for microsoft.com might give you an idea of what they're looking for. For name you can use the site; for contact information you can use a role - i.e. "Administrator."

I think the idea is that people can contact you if they need to. They need *accurate* information, not necessarily personally identifying info. They appear to require a voice phone number, but a toss-away cell phone with pre-paid minutes will work for that. For your address get a postal box.

My pre-paid phone is $100 a year through T-Mobile, and the post office box is about $40. Say private reg is $10 per domain. After the 15th domain you're saving money, and there's less chance of your info getting exposed, like it was for me when I had some domains with Moniker.

Some people also suggested to put name of your company and PO box into whois,so perhaps i could go that route.

I hate those sites that display a list of every site that is on the same IP address. That's a bitch when you have mainstream or personal sites hosted on the same server as your porn stuff.

First Name= Domain
Last Name= Administrator

if that isn't good enough than you could also grab a p.o. box and a pre paid cell phone just for whois info or I think a few places have free whois like Fabulous and some others I'm sure.

Wouldn't the privacy be worth paying for unique IPs?

Also, instead of getting pre-paid phones, just get a free Google Voice number and have it forward to your cell or land line. It'll save you $100 a year right there.
