Inception!

Just got back from the midnight show, what a fucking badass movie! Nolan is my favorite director with Memento being my favorite movie. This is right up there with his best. Truly original stories like this dont come around too often at all. For sure the best movie in quite some time. A+

I am going to see it again just to catch some things I probably missed in the stories within the main story.

damn and I saw Predators instead. The trailers of Inception are quite interesting but I am not the big DiCaprio fan. After all I think it could have been the better choice. Predators had some funny scenes but overall it wasn't the big hit.

Saw both Predators and Inception tonight. Both entertaining and worth seeing on the big screen.

relax. it's more like 2 movies per year for him, fyi. never said he wasn't a decent actor, just too many movies i would enjoy seeing that have him cast as the lead.
after an actor has been cast in several roles, it's hard to suspend belief enough to let the character override the actor. that's all, hardly hate.

Well in short, DiCaprio plays a guy who enters people's dreams to extract information from their mind. He gets hired to do the opposite job, plant an idea in someone's mind which is inception. There is alot more to it than that but dont want to give anything away, just go see it!

This is the blockbuster flick of the summer! Those actors really earned their money on this one with all the nested dream sub-splots and scenes.

That movie went into my mind, and fucked my mind in the ass.

For those that have seen the movie, what do you think of this?

SPOILERS BELOW

The whole thing was really Cobb's(Leo) Inception, all set up by Michael Cane -- to free him from his prison of guilt. Ariadne(Ellen Page) is named after the Greek mythology character that led Theseus from the Mintotaur's labyrinth with a trail of string. Figuratively, the "string" was her Inception on Cobb to implant the idea of letting go of his wife, which was successful.

Man, I am clearly the odd man out on this one. I thought this movie was shoved so far up its own ass that it was popping out the top of its own head.

I was going to suggest that 2.5 hours could be better spent by going to dinner, followed by going to a good movie instead.

To each his own, but you would have to pay me to sit through that self-absorbed bullshit a second time. Bring a pillow...

How was Predators? I'm sorta holding off seeing it because the last two were let downs

Inception looks like it's really badass, going to see it this week

Possible. That would explain the deal with the kids. Cobb couldnt go into the US to see them, so why not just bring the kids to another country to see him?

No! Don't let anyone tell you what its about. Just treat yourself to the IMAX version of it. It's really, really very good.

Agreed. Pay lots of attention to every single detail on screen and especially what is said. Alot of the dialog happens in noisy environment, and over loud music too. Some important things are said during these moments.

Saw it yesterday in iMax, and L O V E D it. I have lots of questions still so I need to see it again.

bah, I thought it was pretty good, but they gave away all the cool shit in the trailers, dream worlds could have been more creative, spent too much time explaining things over and over that went no where, and about 60 min in I found myself wanting to press the FFWd button to see the end. I give it 3.5 out of 5
