Does ND shave clicks?

Looking at the stats for uniques I sent vs ND's stats and it is exactly 50% less to the click. Pretty weird.. it would only make sense to shave shit after a big promo until those promo sales rebill. Not pointing any fingers but my stats vs sponsors stats are usually pretty even.

Hmm, maybe it is 2nd page hits then. Could someone confirm that? Don't want to be sending traffic if only half of it is counting..

And my traffic is far more tier1/2 than 50% LOL

I have found their count has always been far from what sent. I dont think its shaving, but they just count differently. I sent popunder traffic on one of my sites that usually sends 15k+ a day and only counted something like 8k.

Emailed them asking if it is tour page uniques or 2nd page. Dan from nastydollars says it is tour page uniques.

If that's true then their stats reporting is very wrong because I have sent these same links through 3 different systems and ND is reporting less than half of the uniques I've definitely sent. Sucks because their DareDorm and GFRevenge are apparently doing well but it's not worth losing half of my traffic.

No doubt. Who cares how they count, the only thing that you should be counting is the $$.

True^ - but I have only gotten my feet wet in promoting them to see what comes of it, if my initial impression is that half my traffic is disappearing then I'm weary to go through with making them my main sponsor just to see if they are more profitable.

The question should be, are you making any money? No money, shave or not, it's not worth your time.

I too have noticed some things that do not seem to add up. I think it's a reporting glitch because at the end of the day ND is one of my best sponsors money wise.

Even when I account for the slight discrepancies I've spotted they still make me more per click than most sponsors. It's not just clicks that seem weird ... I think their system is a little different than what we're used to.

I'd rather take the money and deal with a system I don't fully understand than have a sponsor whose system I do understand but who doesn't make me as much money.

ND is a top notch sponsor in my book. Even my affiliate manager is proactive and checks in with me to see what I need and delivers to me what I request without me having to follow-up. Just the other day he emailed me to mention that they have 100+ banners that aren't in the admin and wanted to know what sizes I needed. I let him know and he shot over a zip file the next day.

I'd say don't worry and keep promoting them. I am sure you will do quite well if you even halfway know what you're doing. Give it a month or two and I'm sure the money will make sense and you'll want to keep them as your top sponsor.

what are you talking about? you're not being paid per click, it doesn't matter what their unique count is, you're not losing traffic anywhere - all you have to know is roughly how many clicks you're sending them and how many sales you're making.

it's annoying when click counts differ greatly from your own but that's how this industry went years and years ago - so moron webmasters would spread the word about these killer conversion ratios even though the click counts were based on 2nd page hit, 3rd page, join page or whatever formula the program uses to make ratios look better.

Its not 2nd page, its something else. I count clicks sent and clicks reported are around 20-25% of what I have sent.

Then again most adult affiliates are very simple and easily led so fall for the false ratios easily ... so good on ND for pulling it off Same with the likes of Program3 and other similar programs. So funny when you see wm's raving about their 1:600 ratios when infact they are probably more like 1:3k or worse.

I have always had a hard time figuring out how they count clicks, lol.
Anyway, the sites I used to promote them with are long gone and I don't think they allow that kind of promotion anymore, so I don't really care

Because what happens if the clicks they are not counting are the clicks that are signing up? How are we to know?

Money wise I have done well with them, but it is odd that their click stats are way off.

Well they probably filter out bots and then redirect traffic from non productive countries they can't use. Then they start counting. That's what I do. try a nofollow tag on your aff links or edit your robots.txt to reduce bot traffic and see if you clicks get closer to theirs.

ND pays, like clockwork - simple as that. Perhaps they are counting uniques only and ignoring further clicks from the same IP once the cookie has been set for a sale.

nd is popular perhaps it counts unique cookie hits , i.e. half the uniques are return visitors with someone else's cookie, obviously that wouldn't account for "exactly" half but

I send most of my traffic to the sponsor that makes me the most money per click. It is a pain to decipher who counts what page as being a unique to get the real data needed to make the right choice and maximize income.

It would be great if there was a standardized set of rules for every sponsor as to how they tracked traffic. While I am sure there are some fluctuations I have seen sponsors showing traffic from the same ad spot vary wildly - some show 100k uniques and others show as little as 20k.

Maybe it is in their TOS but every sponsor should let you know who's cookie gets credit. 1st person to introduce them to the site or does the last person to send them there win?

my theory was how uniques are counted not sales though. it could be the opposite , i.e. first person gets click last person gets sale.

There are countless other reasons, different sponsors have different criteria on what countries to send to dialers etc.. these would effect uniques
