Considering that it was sold to the current owner in 2001 for just over $500k, I think it's safe to say his family doesn't own it. It's not difficult to check and see how often a property has been sold. And as I said, this one has been numerous times.

Again, do a little deeper digging and you will see that the furniture in the house is not his. And it was custom designed for the house AFTER renovations. Yeah...did you know that this building was just a bunch of apartments before being renovated in the past 5 years?

Again, neither Jim Morrison nor anyone or business associated with him ever owned this house. He simply rented it. There's no debate there.

yeah no doubt you are correct. Did you see the creepy agent pics on their site? EEK lol

There's probably and old chair or something that belonged to him. There is some cheesy old shower they remodeled over but left a secret door or something and some cheesy writing that is supposed to be his.

Growing up in LA I doubt this is the real deal by any means. I immediately recognized that house just from the pic, have driven by it hundreds of times at least. Yeah it is right across from the little store on Laurel Canyon right near the strip. An awesome place if you're doing the Hollywood thing and want to partyh, but most celebrities now wouldn't live there in such an exposed place in a busy intersection. They're definitely milking the Jim thing.

btw, I can only imagine how many places that wild party animal Jim lived in, in LA alone. Probably lots.
