ok.. soo what are the facts.
Fact: Oral health of populations that drink fluoridated water > than not. 50 odd years of empirical data. Non-fact: Unsubstantiated nut job conspiracy theory

Yea it's a nut job conspiracy theory to think drinking a toxic waste substance might not be good for you. My concerns are far from unsubstantiated. Been plenty of medical research done on this and lots of scientist, doctors and even dentist that have come out against water fluoridation. The risk/reward doesn't add up.

Interestingly enough, yesterday I read a report that 91% of canadians tested has bispheonal A in their urine/blood. And while many companies have stopped making products using it, paper receipts apparently have a bunch of it for some reason.
In regards to bottled water...yeah its not a good alternative but no matter if its coming from bottles or your tap, fact is the water travels through plastic no matter what. ANd of course, you need to recycle your plastics but I wish there was a better alternative. I know bottled water comes from tap most of the time but its the way its filtered, with reverse osmosis rather that chlorine. I was doing some reading on floridation in Canada. The majority of Quebec and BC do not floridate their water, yet have some of the lowest tooth decay whereas Ontario, where every municipality floridates has the highest. Just in May Gatineau, Quebec (right across the river from me) turned down the opportunity to floridate the water believing the citizens did not want it.

The following documents why our union, formerly National Federation of Federal Employees Local 2050 and since April 1998 Chapter 280 of the National Treasury Employees Union, took the stand it did opposing fluoridation of drinking water supplies. Our union is comprised of and represents the approximately 1500 scientists, lawyers, engineers and other professional employees at EPA (ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY) Headquarters here in Washington, D.C.
