Tv advertising you still remember years later

I randomly heard this Dr. Pepper jingle played yesterdat and instantly I was back to being a very young child. Despite not having seen or heard those commercials with the jingle for many years I still knew every word of the song.

Cheesy as hell by today's standards but if I can still remember it 30 years on it did its job.

It made me think of other advertising campaigns from my childhood that have still stayed somewhere in my brain. Usually, it was a jingle and more often than not for something sugary but this one was more of a PSA than a commercial. Yet, it has never fully left my head:

Which tv advertising campaigns have stuck with you over the years?

I was reminded of the Stork advert.

9 out 0f 10 housewives can't tell Stork from butter.

Month Python did a sketch on it. And I got the complete series.

9 out 0f 10 housewives can't tell butter from a dead crab. LOL

Bought a pair of Levi's
they've really been around
I've taken 'em dancing
and I've laid 'em on the ground
they've come with me to parties and they've climbed up a tree
why they've been to school so often they're nearly smart as me
and after years and years of wearin'
my Levis in and out
I couldn't help but notice that the knee wore out
so I sewed on a patch, a flower here and there
and they looked so good again I could take 'em anywhere
swimmin' in the ocean, and flyin' in the air
now I really think it's time that I bought another pair.

You can LIVE in LEVIS.

From the 70's, typed it from memory.

Crystal Pepsi with Van Halen's "Right Now" (I remember it too), and I believe you're talking about Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush" music video. I hope not, but that's what comes to mind.

Ha..I remembered the SNL gravy one too. I pretty much never missed SNL back then. Now, since I live over here, I haven't seen a live episode in over a decade.

I went to YouTube to dig this ad up, and of course it was there. What I didn't realize was that I'd end up laughing like an insane person for 2 minutes because of that stupid song.

There was a girl in my high school who was fat always wore the same red dress. Her nickname was "Hey Koolaid".

I was the fat kid in school so I probably would have had that name in your school but even worse than that was that my last name was Jones back then. Try having 'Jones' as a last name in that time period and drinking Kool-Aid and imagine what people said.

I remember those commercials though. One time I tried to have a lemonade type stand but with Kool Aid and didn't realise you had to put sugar (and a lot of it) in it. It wasn't a good sales day.
