So I wrote to Missy Suicide concerning my SewersideGirls.com site. I had the idea to use it to become an affiliate and in this day and age and economy she shot me down. Back to the drawing board.

Dear Missy,
You've undoubtedly heard of Sewerside Girls.com. I've twice tried to turn this into an "SG parody site", but due to time restrictions and funding, have been unable to do so. I've owned the domain since 2006. I'm a full time stand up comic, but the economy here is absolutely horrible, so I have a bunch of free time on my hands. I would like to get the ball rolling again and make Sewerside Girls a hit this time.

I would like to accomplish this by using it as an affiliate site for Suicide Girls only. No other sites would be advertised. It would be 100% SG.
This may be against your affiliate rules, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask you. I'd guarantee that the site would be tastefully done, funny and hopefully profitable for us both.

If not, I'll just sell the domain and move on, but I'm looking for any and all avenues to make a few dollars right now and I think this would be perfect.

Could you please let me know if this project would be something you're interested in giving me your blessing on?

The domain is three years old. I have used it as a God's Girl affiliate in the past. No problems on my end and nice linkage from Fleshbot. It was shut down for awhile, so I lost my PR. (It was a 3)

Now that they are aware of you and your domain I think it would be a very bad call to pursue it, unless you enjoy getting cease and desists. not a particularly funny idea anyway.

Even without a parody claus, SEWER-SIDE (like Pool Side) doesn't have to have anything to do with Suicide

Hey garce. (Love your avatar, btw) The original idea was to have content with all girls on the toilet. I just thought it made sense and all with the name. Like this chick below who I named "Crapnea" after the very well known Suicide Girl, Apnea.

This chick is from Pennsylvania and did a bunch of shots for me really cheaply when I first bought the domain.

I've still got that as an option.

Funny, I wonder what their issue is? I talked to Missy like a week or two ago because some surfers of mine were requesting certain SG sets and she set me up with a free SG account and gave me the go-ahead to make my own galleries and stuff with just basic rules like amount of photos from each set and so on. It was way easier than I expected, given how much hate they get on here.

Maybe they just didn't like the domain name or she interpreted the comic bit as you'd be making fun of SG... eh, whatever, it's her prerogative.

Definitely. If i had a site as popular as SG is (or for that matter, was) I would love someone doing a parody of it and bringing more attention to it. Maybe I caught her on a bad day, or something. Fuck her, I've moved on and may sell it. God knows what will happen to it then.

Or maybe this is just an astroturfing ploy. I'm finding it a bit difficult to believe that anyone actually thinks that brand is remotely big enough for a parody in 2010.

If this is astroturfing, it gets their name on GFY without them having to be nice to affiliates or really take care of affiliates at all.

You might not be a promo guy, but nobody normally says this sort of thing, especially not about a person many believe to be a mascot figurehead type. If I understand you correctly, Missy Suicide wasn't my topic of parody. The name of the site was. (Not hers, but mine) I really don't give a shit about her, what she thinks of me or her website . I wrote to her concerning a business arrangement. I got denied. I just thought her response was funny and worth posting (notice xoxox in her sig).....It's pretty obvious she's an uppity bitch with little humor in her world. I would never consider her a mascot of the site, though. I think that's stretching.

I read the Lithium Picnic debacle all through the whole incident. I remember checking out Live Journal for updates a couple of times per week. It's pretty ancient news by now, but I enjoyed your recpap.

Actually, I'm not a man off the street actual webmaster, I'm a comedian. I did however run an alt chick site for 5 years called Deadbabes. But I'm no shill. Perish the thought.

That's actually a good conspiracy theory, but I'm not that fucking clever. (I don't believe Missy is either) I've owned the domain since 2006 and through various careers, laziness, or lack of funds, I just never got around to doing anything with it. I definitely should have done this in 2001-2002, but I also should have purchased shares of Google at $5, which I didn't do, either.

As far as beginning a new thread....I started one because it was basically on another topic. The GFY cops are free to remove anything at anytime, so what the fuck difference does it make? I also think GFY is a lot fucking smarter than me as far as trying to catch someone plugging another site (such as SG) through shill posts. Shills also wouldn't say anything nice about the person they were bitching about. At least I wouldn't.

PS: Who do I write to at Spooky Cash about getting me my password back. It's been a couple of days and they said they were on it.
