Anyone know whats happening with Vividcash?

Lately I've seen worsening results with the program, despite quality targeted traffic coming in. Lately 1:1000+ is common.

Also I saw this message: "In our continuing efforts to bring the best long term business model to our affiliates and strategic partners, Vivid Entertainment is modifying its popular adult affiliate program payment model. We have removed trial join options from specified site products under the VividCash umbrella." The message cuts off without details of which sites are affected.

Anyone know exactly whats going on with the company? Are they going broke and squeezing affiliates for extra cash? I contacted support NO RESPONSE.

Can't believe no one else has mentioned the dramatic slump with this program. Removal of trials has given me this conversion rate so far today:

Sep 6, 2010
2,994 Unique clicks 1:2994 1 Conversion 1 Rebill $12.83
That's for targeted traffic that was previously converting aaround 1:450

No responses to emails in the last... 6 days.I don't know if they are dying or what. Any other affiliates sending them traffic seen a big slump?

Honestly, the results of most programs the last year are dramatically down - diversify your promotions, try new programs and ask the sponsors for things they don't hand out to everyone to get those unique members.

Hello,

My name is Eric, and I am the General Manager for Vivid Entertainment Online. Could you please let me know who you emailed at VividCash, when that was, and forward me the emails that you believe were not responded to please? My email is erich//at//vividcorp.com or erich//at//vivid.com, and I will look into it for you.

Vivid Entertainment has been operating successfully for 25 years, and we're not going anywhere. The times are changing, and with it so must each and every business in the adult space. Change is inevitable.

As always, VividCash is available to our trusted partners and affiliates. Support emails are responded to in a timely manner and our support contact can be found here:

http://vividcash.com/external.php?page=support&

STEVE G.
Affiliate Program Manager
SteveG//at//Vividcash Dot Com

Thank you,

Eric

They are probably too busy out offering porn contracts to Oprah, Obama, Ron Paul, Charles Manson, Jerry Springer, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Barbara Streisand to bother running their affiliate program.

With that said. Let me speak to you as an affiliate, as I am for the past 11 years.

I send traffic to over 20 affiliate programs from my own personal traffic networks. My ratios on qualified traffic are no where near where they were even a year ago. I don't think I need to go into a whole diatribe on all the free porn on the Internet, and the state of the global economy. We all know that stuff. The point of the matter is, we're all working harder for the sale that we made not even 2-3 years ago.

The point is the adult Internet space is in drastic flux at the moment. There is a paradigm traffic shift happening. Consumer perception with regards to the value of each product on the Internet is being transformed. The variables now at play are more volatile than ever. The adult space you think you see now, will not be the space you'll see even a year from now. We as affiliates can not think that everything should constantly remain the same. That's just not the reality of the Internet.

Now, getting support issues handled and responded to, well that is a no brainer. Programs must communicate with their affiliate base. The good affiliates and the bad. Barring any delivery issues, I expect a reply within 24 hours, if it's on a weekday, or if I email on a weekend, I want a reply by the end of the day on the Monday following my email.

Let me know if I can take a look at what you're doing affiliate to affiliate, and I'll be happy to help.

Have a good weekend.

Eric

Hello fake nick. Bumping old threads for any reason at all?

What a coincidence, we banned two fraudsters in the past three days, and big surprise we have fake nicks bumping old threads on message boards.

Be a man. Post under your real nick, and address your issue with our program in a fair way if this is your intended avenue to bring it to everyone's attention.

Thank you for your support.

Daizzzy,
Webmasters must meet the criteria to promote our program. The large percentage of people who are denied promoting the program are for a small number of reasons. To maintain the integrity of our protocols I am not at liberty to discuss how we choose to approve folks. What I can say is that legitimate webmasters are always welcome. The days of signing up to programs with just a black hole Ymail.com address and a newly registered 7 dollar domain are pretty much over. Keeping a higher qualification standard for new affiliates is good for the company and our existing affiliate base. If you have specific questions about a specific referral I am happy to look into it for you.

How about some new content that isn't just junk? And go the funk is Nick? More than one persons obviously thinks u are crap. And this wasn't bumping and old thread. This was me reconsidering using vivid, doing a search here for some info. What I found there and your response is all I need. Vivid is not worth dealing with.

Vivid has world class content, Steve G is extremely helpful, and ratios kick ass. You just have to be creative in how you promote their content. If you're looking for shortcuts like RSS feeds and whatnot or if your sites typically cater to a downscale audience, it's probably not a good fit.

Vivid does have amazing content, but their affiliate program customer service leaves a whole lot to be desired.

They aren't big with sales tools updates, and they tend to go through employees like candy yet don't bother updating affiliates to let us know the person they were working with is no longer there and they don't forward that persons email to the new employee (or just turn it off) for some reason so if you try and contact that person you get nothing -- you are just left to assume you are being ignored yet again.

When they make changes to their program like removing trails or changing the monthly membership prices they don't notify affiliates.

I could go on but I'm pretty sure you all get the point.

I will share with you a little secret that clearly the people who run Vivid Cash never learned ... good manners go a longgggggggggg way.

Eric, while you're here - I have just the 1 question; the 5 min vids you allow the big tubes to put up - why are other affiliates not allowed to use the same clips?

And +1 for what jimmycooper said.

To tell you the truth, when considering that I don't have a ton of traffic, I prefer for things to be as big of a pain in the ass as possible to promote. Less competition.

I think that's the best way, regardless of traffic amount ;) I do like though, a level playing field with regards to methods available.

In my experience's with Vivid, all issues have been handled within 24 hrs of contact, no matter if it was via ICQ/email or through the support ticket system within NATs and always to my satisfaction. This gives me the confidence to continue sending my traffic to Vivid Sites even if the conversions have gone down.

i long since marked vividcash as "dead", a lack of affiliate side updates. it looks the same as cold hard cash did before they got a sharp poker up their asses, and then they did one update and went back to sleep again.

newest added video galleries have these dates:

jan5
oct29
oct29
sep10
aug10

so according to me, if that is current, then they have added 5 galleries in a year, and none in 8 months. seems pretty lively to me.
