I don't know why, maybe because the bank is the gatekeeper to my cash, but I used to really care what people thought of me at the bank. I would even go as far as throwing on a sweater or a jacket before going in there to cover my tattoos, etc. It took me a bit to get it, probably the 3rd or 4th time one of the account managers asked me what the hell it was I did for a living that it sunk in. They don't see me, they only see the dollar amount of my bank accounts and they treat me accordingly. I don't give a damn what the people at the bank think of me and it hasn't changed my banking relationships what so ever.

No one should force you to be made uncomfortable by what they have printed on a check, but if it helps you to look at it this way the people inside the bank are really just service industry when you boil it down. They shouldn't judge you, and if you feel that they are you can always remind yourself that you make more $$ than them anyway. I don't know about you, but I'd rather be thought of as a dirty pornographer than a bank teller anyday.
I honestly don't give a fuck if they know that I make porn or get my money from porn. In fact, I told one of the tellers before because she was curious about my mysterious money and said she wanted to do whatever it is that I do.

The point is, though, it should be up to ME to decide that, not ignorance and/or carelessness on the part of sponsors, etc. On top of that, there are other consequences to being outed besides someone thinking "oh gosh, there's a dirty pornographer". Legal consequences, financial consequences, discrimination that has real impacts beyond the emotional for self and family, etc.

My point is that these consequences are even more weighty for those of us who actually appear naked on our sites. We have already had a local guy show up on our doorstep. This kind of mistake on the part of sponsors only increases the chances of things like that happening.
