Who still thinks they will get their Epassport money?

A few days after this mess blew up someone started a poll on how many thought they would get paid. Now I think the result will be very different.

So vote away.

I know you're sure we wont get any money back. I've read some of your posts throughout this mess and they are pessimistic to say the least.

The VV money will be returned to the rightful owners, no doubt about that. I also have no doubt that it is going to take several months.

I also have no doubt its to late to save Epass even if they do get things restored.

Simple logic.

nothing really suggests we are going to get our money, except "your money is safe" statement, and I think it's not enough...

Sure there is it is called the law. Funds frozen must be returned to their rightful owners eventually under penalty of law, so the VV funds are actually safe.

You should really read up on the rules Visa, banks and to a lesser extent Epass has to play with.

I was in touch with some people from epass and they assured me that this will be solved! It may take some but the issue can be resolved!

I don't think that will matter at all.

Even if they could switch it back on today I think its to late and the damage done.

The power users already switched to alternatives and now have a system in place that does work. So even if Epass returns, why switch back and go through all the hassle and expenses if you have a perfectly good and operational system going.

I think the real winners are Payoneer and Okpay they snatched up good business, and it will take more then just restoring Visa(Or any brand of card) functionality to get those clients back.

I doubt the small change webmasters who would go back(no offense) can keep them in business.

Best case scenario Epass will be a shadow of its former self.

Worst case, Epass goes belly up and IMO the latter is more likely then the first.

neither of those alternatives come closer to epass.... I am willing to bet that sponsors will immediately switch back to epass as most of them already have everything setup that worked for years flawlessly... And webmasters will be more than happy to continue receiving epass payments. Remember my words and you'll see, very soon!

The business model epass has is so simpel & perfect it could make any bank feel threatened. Governments did not have a grip on it.

Somehow I think epass is being held hostage for macro economic reasons to live up to new recent laws like, but not limited to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Know_your_customer since I read that people with business accounts and/or individuals with approved ID's in countries (not under embargo) can still use bank withdraw, ACH and to creditcards and even still accept epass. Michael O still answers questions and phonelines work I read.

If I had pockets as deep as Google, I'd buy epass, get it compliant, fix it up and even try to add Amex, Mastercard and go mainstream to compete with banks and Paypal.

I wired somebody $500 last month in Czech and I got charged 78$ from 2 banks together since I send it on my cost....Paypal sucks only because of chargebacks.

Epass fixed both of these problems above, I guess that doesn't make their competition happy out there with these silly chargeback/overcharging legal 'mobsters' on the other end.....Did banks not get us in an economic crisis in the first place?

Even banks can collapse. For most of us who have been using epass for many years without problems, this was not a totally unexpected surprise. Therefore I made sure epass was not a primary form of receiving payments, plus I never kept too much cash in there. They got me pretty good though, I have 2k sitting in my Virtual.

Next Poll is "how many ePass threads can you make in 1 month?"
a) 100
b) 1000
c) more than the amount of $'s epass owes it's customers.
