Blockbuster went into Chapter 11 today, news stories all including Netflix as one of the factors in the demise of Blockbuster. Netflix stock is riding high.

the lesson here is that the changes in technology and delivery of entertainment are to be expected - today it's Blockbuster who's a dinosaur, tomorrow it will be Netflix.

no need for middlemen in the movies/music biz much longer - UNLESS you own the proprietary hardware to play it like Apple/Itunes and can force your way into being the middleman.

I think videos will continue to be popular. The way they are watched will change.

If Netflix is riding high now and the "tomorrow" you speak off could be years away, why the hell would you short Net Flix? If anything, Net flix is the best program I've seen in regards to fighting piracy. I almost don't even download movies online anymore because I can get them on netflix through the WII for 7.95 a month, unlimited. I am long with Netflix and it's going to stay that way for a while.
