Anything I can do about this Google problem?

This is my new website, http://www.privateschooljewel.com - doing very well, thanks to affiliates - i am literally getting next to ZERO non-affiliate referred sales. why? If you do a Google search on "private school jewel" you'll get pages of search results with affiliate sites, torrents/rapidshare and spam. The site itself, is buried deep on page 7 or worse. How fucked up is that - the most relevant search result for 'private school jewel' should be the girl's own website.

Is there any way to reach a human being at Google? The only thing I found for webmasters with complaints was Google's forum where I posted and that got me nowhere.

thanks

link building seo campaign to push your site up there.

google will do nothing for you as those are relevant results.

Start by actually having some text on the page with "private school jewel", if you want to be ranked for it. "private school jewel" was found ONE time on the frontpage, when I looked through the code.

The domain alone is not enough

Too bad the CCBill affiliate links do nothing to help with your SEO.

Imagine if CCBill allowed linking directly to the site; so many site owners would be killing it in the SERPs.

As for advice, the easiest thing you can do is sign up for linkspun.com and start getting some ABC links setup that have the incoming links pointing to your paysite.

Just be sure to hide and not categorize http://www.privateschooljewel.com in Link Spun or you'll have people requesting links from that page which you cannot do if you want a leak free tour.

1. Apply SEO
2. ...
3. Get #1 Google Rank
4. Retire

i didn't think it was necessary to do seo on an official site for a model, thought Google was smart enough to give it priority.

things must have changed or maybe it's because the site name isn't a first/lastname.com - because if you search 'dawson miller' it is the second listing.

How do you expect Google to randomly know what the official site of every given term is? Right now all your site name is is a term, that's it, it's nothing special. They are now showing the most relevant results to that specific term based on their formulas.

I think you are great at producing content, but what you just wrote, is just about the dumbest business-related comment I have heard on GFY in the short time I have been back.

You expect Google to know your site is the official? It seems you expect google to rank you on page1 because of your domain alone.

This may sound dumb, but it is a serious question as half of the time I just luck out when it comes to SEO.

What also helps Nasty Dollars is that their affiliate links look like this, right: http://www.daredorm.com/main.htm?id=affiliateid

They have probably tens of thousands of affiliate links pointing directly to their domain while CCBill affiliate link points to ccbill.com.

Another thing I've wondered, this time with NATS ... when you use an affiliate ID like join.paysite.com, does the site still get the link juice or is it the sub-domain that gets it?

you need to hire someone who has a clue about seo, you don't become a top site just because your site is the "official" one...

dude, there are 10,000 pages for every well known solo girl paysite that are better optimized for search engines than the paysite yet Google has them near the top of the search results.

watch, my next site has the first/lastname.com and won't have this problem - the problem is I named this site with terms that are generic to Google 'private school jewel'. If i had named it JewelDavis.com it would be first page.

my mistake wasn't doing an intensive seo campaign - my mistake was using generic terms in a domain name - which does now force me to compete with pages much better seo optimized.

You have no meta description.. You have no meta keywords.. Can't find "private school jewel" anywhere on the page other than the title. And I suspect you have practically no links coming into the site with "private school jewel" as the anchor text. Well.. actually, Yahoo says you have NO links... Dawson Miller at least has a few but even that's pathetic..

You have a few options, but you can't just assume things will just happen for you.

1. Buy some inbound links.

2. Could do some link exchanges but you really don't want that on your paysite.

3. Do some basic social bookmarks.

4. Do a little link building. Doesn't have to be too much.

5. Set up a handfull of "crap" blogs to do some posts for your sites with links back to them as well.. bookmark them, ping the feeds, submit them to a few directories.

6. Stick a link at the bottom of every page of the site that links back to the domain with the anchor text "private school jewel". Could do something like "Thanks for visiting my #link# site"

7. Put the 2257 link on all your galleries that are also on the domain. Make sure there's a proper link back to the main domain from that page as well.

It probably won't take much and that stuff could be done in just a few days.

So nice how people help people out here by laughing at them. Sad day. Anyway, let me try and answer the question

In the most simple terms, you need a mix of: domain, title tags (the part at the top of the browser that says - now - GoFuckYourself.com - Adult Webmaster Resource Message Board), relevant keyword rich content, and incoming links from relevant sites.

If you were correct in that, you'd see non-porn results coming up... No, the problem isn't the name, it's that there's nothing telling google that it's the main site..

this is obviously a change in Google in the 3 years since Dawson Miller launched. Dawson's site has hardly anything more for Google to bite on than Jewel yet Dawson's paysite is #2.

I have added the description and keyword tags and will add an H1 tag

you are sort of right here Mutt
but that is probably because a term like jewel davis would have very little to no competition at all
a term like private school jewel might have many more sites to compete with because of the private school part
google does give a priority to the domain when listing sites but a domain alone with no titles/description/keywords/linkbacks is not enough

I think you got so caught up in the look of the site that you forgot about what search engines like, which is more important than the look.

I don't want to compete with affiliates, they get paid their commission to do what I would have to do myself or pay someone to do. I encourage affiliates to register domain names like 'PrivateSchoolJewelBlog.com' because the more of them in Google the better chance there will be less torrent and rapidshare links in the first few pages.

I know dick all about SEO. What I do know is that it's in Google's and its surfers best interest to have the model's official website on the front page.

thanks though for the constructive advice from some of you.

also might want to look at something that nasty dollars does. you set up sites/blogs for like privateschooljeweltorrent.com get it to rank for "private school jewel torrent" and try and direct some of the traffic to the paysite instead of a site rip.

build a handful of links. it doesn't take many when you got the exact domain match. any backlinks at all would give you a significant boost. there is no reason you should be so far back on that term. just do some a-b-c trades with a few slolo girl sites and dump their links on a blog or something.

i'm not crying, the site is doing very well - i posted a thread about this Google issue, i'd much rather have her site somewhere on the first page to pick up a handful of non-affiliate sales a day but it's not going to kill me.

who's outperforming me? affiliates? I want them to outperform me - if i wanted to outperform them I'd be on all the same TGP's and forums as they are promoting and spamming the site.

In the most simple terms, you need a mix of: domain, title tags (the part at the top of the browser that says - now - GoFuckYourself.com - Adult Webmaster Resource Message Board), relevant keyword rich content, and incoming links from relevant sites.
I bet you learned that during your time studying under the illustrious Gary.

As has been pointed out, your pages don't even have the bare minimum with regards to SEO.

Google up some info and get your pages somewhat optimized. If that doesn't work...hire someone. But you should be able to get the basics yourself.

You need more text as well as back links to the domain. If you fix the text issue over time usually the back link issue should resolve itself. Though you can still help it along with proper back links.

Remember it's an algorithm ranking the sites. Google doesn't know that you are the main authoritative site automatically.

I'd be willing to answer all these questions but there is just to much info here already. Most of it is valid and on point.

Trust
Links
Age
On page

All play a slight factor in it. Feel free to hit me up on ICQ (in sig) and I'll talk some shop with you.

ahem................. here's a solo model paysite a few months older than Jewel, a first and last name domain name Taylor Lain http://www.taylorlain.com - google 'Taylor Lain' - first result is TaylorLain.com - now go check out the page itself, next to none SEO on it

the fact of this matter is that if you DON'T want to battle with a thousand other SEO wise people for rankings on your own solo model site you give her a FIRSTNAMELASTNAME.COM
domain name and SEO isn't an issue.

And here's another solo model paysite launched at the same time as Jewel with the same problem HaileysHideaway.com - a generic word 'hideaway' - google 'haileys hideaway' - the paysite is buried way back.

if she was HaileySimpson.com she'd be front page.

dude, it's no mystery that search engines like the exact keywords in domains as far as ranking goes, are you new to the internet?

Have you submitted sitemaps to all the engines?

Look at the sites that rank before you and try to figure out why they do ( you learn a lot by doing this). Is you content 100% unique to your site? Google doesn't like to saturate the first page with identical sites. I looked on HaileysHideaway.com There is not a lot of content there. Post more stuff and get more links.

Also, be patient. :-)
