Question about bought traffic

I am buying a lot of traffic for a new site. Since I'm not trading traffic on it, I do not have a trade script setup to track it.

Instead, I am doing the tracking through Google Analytics and setup a special tracking URL for each broker and/or order.

Who I am buying traffic from is irrelevant because it is multiple sources and I am seeing the same thing all across.

What is getting reported in Analytics is about 40% lower than what I am buying.

I know that Analytics sometimes reports up to 20% less than actual traffic when you compare to logs, but 40% is A LOT.

What could be the cause of this? The only thing that comes to mind is either hit bots or the visitor I bought closes the window so quickly that they are not counted by Analytics.

The bought traffic is producing enough income that I'm not freaking out. I'm more curious.

bots, they dont parse javascript.

so half of your traffic is phoney bots, the other is malware infected botnets using hacked computers to simulate real traffic.

I'd be freaking out, cuz i doubt you are making a dime

Well now I am freaking out! LOL

And I am making money, but after you said that, I'm thinking it is from the HQ links in place from other network sites and not these bought visitors (I make liberal use of campaigns in NATS and such).

Thanks for that info... I wouldn't have never known the technical reason!

Fuck.

Seriously, get away from click sellers... always garbage except you know exactly where it comes from.

Analytics use javascript, if people do not have java enabled, they will not be counted.

Bots do not use javascript and are not counted either.

I think I read somewhere that a user needs to stay 3-5 seconds on the site for Analytics to be able to count them.

Traffic you buy might not be real clicks with expectations, it can also be some forced traffic, which usually is no good.

Analytics try to count real users, so while your server log will show hits and visits from Google search bots and others, Analytics will ignore those hits. Which is one reason for server stats and Analytics to never match, there will always be a descrepancy.

I recently noticed the productivity of traffic from source like trafficholder is very low, the amount of fake traffic must be pretty high.

But it's an easy fast way to get some feeder traffic and it's pretty cheap

We have had issues in the past with analytics reporting, this isn't unusual.

Analytics is always super low but not 40%. People might be closing your site fast and/or your site might be loading slow. Where is your GA code located?
