Wouldn't be hard given they've told us nothing for over a month.

Lack of revenue and circumstances beyond our control? Wasn't epassporte's core business p2p money transfers? It sounds from the closure notice that the virtual visa was the primary source of revenues. Something doesn't seem right here to me, losing a secondary revenue source is one thing, but to shut down the entire business? Odd to me.

They lost all the fees from wire tranfers coming in and then paying out to each affiliate account. Basically without a card for ppl to easily withdraw their money, there's no way to recover... It would take months to setup something else with a different bank and maybe Mastercard, and by then it would definately be dead. So he probably just decided to cut his losses.

I wouldn't say so much a liar, more like not giving info and telling the whole story.

Of course they know why they were cut off, or I would at least hope so. After all the non-communication from epass it would be nice to finally find out WHY, but I'm not too optimistic about that.

It seems like quite a lot of people with lots of money still in there where they won't wire out. I know quite a few people who can't withdraw via wire for 3 weeks now.

Do I hear class action lawsuit coming against Chris Mallick? Or will he run to some island?

My theory on what happened - ePass was known for gambling, didn't always have the best paperwork in order, etc. I think that St. Kitts gave them three weeks to get all their docs in order for people they wanted to see them for. They couldn't produce, bank steps in. I think this is why the bank says SOME will be asked for additional documentation.

That's just my pure speculation.

Yeah well this was predicable. Some cunt called Jeffrey at their call centre has been promising me for weeks that my $15,000 has been expediated and it just needs to be verified before being released. I knew he was just stringing me along.

The problem with actually suing, for an amount like $15k, is that by the time you pay the lawyers to potentially get NOTHING back, then I'd be our about another $10k. We can afford to take the hit but I wonder how many affiliates or others, this is going to be seriously detrimental to their lives.

Groobybucks will NOT be looking for alternative payment solutions for affiliates other than getting paid directly via US, UK or Euro Check directly from us, wire transfers and UK bank transfers. If an affiliate is that desperate that they have to have a practically anonymous account and get paid in such small amounts, then it's unlikely we're going to want to do business with you. Current affiliates please contact [email protected] if you haven't already, so we can personalise your payment options.

Chris Malick should but his money where his fat ego is and ensure everyone gets paid. I look forward to running into him in the future.

I'm guessing there was a reason ePass has the money automatically put into your VISA unless you requested it to go to the wallet. There had to be more ways to make money with the VV than the wallet.

Of course there is and it will come out sooner or later. Be sure about that, there is too much money at stake here.

This will pulldown adult industry for a long time, there's no way people would trust other payment system, checks/wire are back again.

Speculation here as well:

I don't know but there is one possible connection few speak about:

http://www.xbiznewswire.com/view.php?id=119419 (old news)

Whatever the case the U.S. Government is *definitely* watching. Although this Epass incident doesn't *seem* now to be a action initiated by the U.S. Government, they still tend to have a lot of influence beyond U.S. borders. If this is the case those who play games with the law might find themselves in even more trouble soon enough....if the government is so motivated I'm not sure how I feel about that really. Mixed feelings.

i have another explanation for you and the guy from Payoneer at least did not deny that this was the problem:

everyone with an Epass account could give out a gift card to anybody he wanted and that card could at least be used up to $5000 in transactions before someone asked for identification docs. and this - according to Visa - is not allowed (know your customer)

and i take wild guess here - but those who will be asked for additional docs have cards they received through a sponsor or someone else.

thats why Payoneer btw only gives out cards through companies they have contracts with.
