In California (and elsewhere) you can get cannabis for anxiety, and its better for you than taking a pill (as long as you don't live next to Dominos, lol).

Walking for half an hour is also excellent (and free). Combine the two and you can take a big bite out of your stress. Just smoke a fatty, walk for 15 minutes, turn around and go back home...

It's easy

LOL @ the weed & alcohol responses. Some people legitimately need medication, I won't deny anxiety and depression can be physical problems. However, even if that's the case, an even bigger part of it is usually psychological.

The simplest way to explain it, a lot of people with general anxiety just have TOO MUCH TIME TO SIT AROUND AND THINK ABOUT SHIT!

You can't change without bringing about change. Join a gym, take up an instrument and take lessons, play outdoor sports, go to baseball games, go fishing, spend more time with your family or whatever it is that you're currently avoiding in your life. I used to be one of those people who would be like, "once I have this, or once this happens then I will do that".

Change is uncomfortable because denial and self pity is addictive! It's MUCH easier to sit around, drink and smoke weed to "release stress", but in reality, the good stress that people with depression and anxiety avoid is actually what will free their minds of anxiety and racing thoughts.

No, I'm not a know it all psychologist, I've just personally been down that road. Just my , none of us can give you advice on which type of medication would best help your situation, but I can guarantee you the above advice will reduce anxiety whether or not you take medication.

Oh, and BTW, I'm not saying there is anything wrong with having a good time. Smoking weed occasionally or drinking on the weekends is awesome, but if you're doing it every single day to "cope" then get used to your current situation. All the pills, weed and booze in the world won't fix your problems if you continue the same routine that's causing your anxiety.

I'm currently tapering off a Klonopin and Xanax addiction I have had for years. I got hooked in college and it helped me deal with the pressure. It's great at first, but eventually it is terrible because of tolerance, interdose withdrawal, etc. Then, when you decide to get off of them, it can be pure hell. I'm pretty sure that it made anxiety worse, because of the rebound anxiety. Anyways, I would strongly recommend you avoid benzos.

Kratom and Kanna is 2 really great plants. No weak shit that doesn't work.

Kratom should work really well for people with opiate-addiction.
Kanna works in the same way as a SSRI-medication.

Both works great for anxiety. But be a bit careful with Kratom, some people may get addicted to that instead.
