I dont know if these keywords still works but I knew a guy who in 2006 got an average of 39 per click on a few keywords related to mortgage and real estate.
Maybe its time to turn a part to mainstream!

I'll let you in on what happened there, most likely:

Some idiot started an Adwords campaign and he did not put in a max CPC. If one of his competitors did the same thing, the bidding game is on. We had this happen to us also, on the receiving end of course;-) We got like 60euro's per click for a day or two, then never again. Obviously the n00bs figured out there weren't 'breaking even' ;-)

I have a couple mainstream blogs, my dog forum use adsense and on average, my clicks are worth $1 and some change. Somtimes, they bottom out at like $.20 but there's also been times when I've had $4 clicks.

Thing is, I can't make more than a few bucks a day with it.

Should still be reasonably accurate if you scale it, right? Just multiply the avg CPC by 0.57 or whatever the estimated percentage split for adsense affiliates was worked out to be.

I have a mainstream website but the videos are to viral and Google would suspend my account for it. Who's running bing ads? I heard they're doing well.

You're never going to make close to what any list like this shows. For one, that's basically in the neighborhood of what you're going to pay to get a good listing. Once some data is collected, the actual CPC should drop wayyyy down. I'll pay $10 or $15 a click at first knowing that I can probably get the CPC down to $1.00 - $2.00 on search. And then of course you're never going to pay the same amount for the content network (where your percentage is calculated) because the traffic is much lower quality.

Comparing this to adult is still apples to oranges though. Consider with the campaign I was talking about I'd be extremely dissatisfied with less than 1:10 conversions.
