no, not running kazaa. it's installed, but i haven't used it in months... i can't find anything else that would be installed, except for some pesky virus thing that seems benign i can't get rid of (and scan doesn't find). when i installed kazaa, i left it pretty bare. maybe that's it tho, i just can't find anything actually *running*.

i've just been getting a lot of images (not necessarily from sites i know well enough) that don't show up, and i don't know if its their problem or mine. maybe just an outbreak of people that don't know how to run their servers or something.

if you're using norton internet security

go to options... then advanced options then the privacy tab

there should be a browsing privacy referer option that is blocked by default. change that to permit and everything should be good to go... i used to have the same problem

check it out.. hope it helps

no firewall should stop images from loading unless in your ruleset you are blocking the ip that they are coming from i suppose.

C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\

open the file named "host" in a text editor and make sure it's not associating any outside ip's or domains with 127.0.0.1

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 z.extreme-dm.com
127.0.0.1 z0.extreme-dm.com
127.0.0.1 pop3.norton.antivirus
127.0.0.1 pop3.spa.norton.antivirus
127.0.0.1 www.altnetp2p.com
127.0.0.1 www.bonzi.com
127.0.0.1 www.brilliantdigital.com

is really all you need to bind to 127.0.0.1
