i always turn that off and usually cancel the payment thing they set up with paypal that allows them to bill 500-1000 extra a month

usually its pretty well hidden with some of those cheap promos. you actually have to go into the account and remove it.

I have been hit with the "auto renew" when I made 100% sure it wasn't selected. Kinda sucks but better to have my domain than not.
