About to publish e-book, on traffic generation - a brief outline inside (review copies available)

As seasoned, marketing veteran and long time internet entraprenier I am happy to pass on some experiences and, new methods.

The e-book is titled: "The traffic, it is good."

---

The e-book will cover a new method I have uncovered that most likely very few people are, utilizing. Without giving away the exact methodology I can give the main points:

We know that people, search, for websites. What if websites, searched, for people?

We, are going to, write them a letter using the internet!

Using search sites like hotbot.com you can, use special search techniques to, find the people you want to write to by searching the domain endings of popular e-mail, providers.

Copy, and paste them as you find them to a spreadsheet.

Once, you have finished writing to the people you found you can move on to the next search site to find, more people. A list of search sites will be included in the e-book.

---

That is the rough outline. Publishing date has yet to be announced. Review copies available to a select few, upon request.

Do you cover maximising sources such as of which geocities? I get mad cash from them, yo.

Fletch XXX 01-23-2012 07:06 AM

reads like a bad translation...

raymor 01-23-2012 07:31 AM

You might double your revenue from the book with some good editing. You may or may not know much about traffic but your English could really use some work. All of those commas, for example. Your post has fifteen commas when it should have none. All fifteen are wrong. Commas are used to set off non-essential parts of a sentence. In other words, by using a comma you are saying the sentence works still be complete without that part.

Wait - Hotbot? Your example of a search engine is Hotbot? So this was written in 1997?

Spudman 01-23-2012 07:39 AM

I, love, commas, lets, use, them, loads, makes, for, great, reading :) ,,,,,

I will still make some edits, however some of my comma use is correct I am sure of it.

Will think over some points you made. Thanks for the input.

Sorry, my book is not taking the seo aspect of traffic generation. Maybe we can work together on another ebook I publish, in the future.

I notice you've taken the comma advice.

Well done.

scottybuzz 01-23-2012 11:20 AM

From what I understand you are scraping websites for email addresses and sending those people emails? That is what I interpreted it as anyway. Correct me if I am wrong, which I think I am.

B.Barnato 01-23-2012 11:21 AM

Comma's are a matter of taste well written content not so much.

Thank you for the interest, excite can also be used, in this method. The e-book will tell, how to optimize the emails for the people you want to send invitations.

Good point.

96ukssob 01-23-2012 01:43 PM

No, they aren't a matter of taste any more than periods are. A period goes at the end of a sentence. A comma separates lists and independent clauses. I may have missed a correct one, but I believe all fifteen of yours are simply wrong and are extremely annoying.

That last sentence is an example of independent clauses - each side of the comma is a complete sentence by itself by dropping the conjunction:
I may have missed a correct one.
I believe all fifteen of yours are simply wrong and are extremely annoying.

The independent clause can also be separated from a dependent clause:

At 10 o'clock, you overused commas.

The independent clause, which could be a sentence unto itself, comes after the comma:

You overused commas.

Another example:

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The independent clause after the comma is a complete sentence:
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Lastly, there is the parenthetical, a dependent clause embedded in the middle of an independent clause:

The President, Barak Obama, refused to submit a budget.

Taking only the part separated by commas, we still have a complete sentence:

The President refused to submit a budget.
