Cirtexhosting FAIL
 

So, I had a TGP site setup on cirtexhosting and I was looking to move a blog there too. They offered to move the site for free and me being a lazy fucker I took them up on it.

They promised a total move in 48 hours. When they didn't make that deadline and they failed to respond to any of my e-mails, (They DO NOT answer their phones, ever. They have a message that says do to the sesetive nature of things the best way to contact them is via e-mail) I went ahead and asked for a cancelation of the new hosting account for the blog. They e-mailed me, tried to change my mind I told them just to cancel it. They shutdown and deleted my TGP, NOT my blog. I hadn't backedup my TGP, mostly because I'm stupid, so I lost a ton of work. I sent them a pretty pissy e-mail and I finally got a response and I should be getting my money back but at a pretty high cost to me in time.

I ended up going with certified hosting.

were they able to move your TGP over? Or was that gone for good?

Cirtex deleted the data and disabled my accounts, so the TGP is gone. It hurts but I was looking to re-design the site, now I have a blank canvas.

that sucks man. Happened to me about 15 years ago, learned my lesson the hard way too.

I feel your pain.. Had similar horror story with them few years ago. Switched and never looked back

Just wait until the Dreamhost guys get here.... THEN it'll get interesting!

Yeah i'm surprised we haven't seen a dreamhost promo code yet.
