Hard drive prices spike...
 

Brought a 750gb hard drive today it cost me $200 WTF :Oh crap

spiked across the board, bought some drives and the next day they had almost doubled in price.

They'll be up for a while, since the factories that make them are out of commission indefinitely.

Holiday season is here, maybe after it will go down?

Flooding in thailand put 25% of the HD factories out of commission.... old news...

Yeah old news indeed, however it still sucks.
It is expected that prices will be/stay up at least several months and will be harder to get, especially enterprise drives.

Luckily we refilled our stock a month ago with about 500 drives

Prices went up here even before the local stock was exhausted. There's a lot of distributors and retail shops making a quick buck from this.
