Are sex robots all hype?
I read an interesting interview with the 'Autoblow' blowjob machine creator Brian Sloan the other day. Amongst other things, he was asked to give his opinion on the hype surrounding sex robots, and I agree with his response :

I bought a realistic sex doll a couple of months back for nearly $1,500 and it's one of the worst buys I've ever made. I can't believe how heavy it is, and how difficult it is to move about, even just moving the limbs into position. To add to that, I find I can't even fuck it because the hole is too tight, especially with the insert. You actually have to brush its hair every day, and even re-apply the makeup occasionally. This morning I fapped off with the thing lying next to me and I didn't even glance over at the bitch. The only thing I could think of that would be worse is if I'd paid $5,000 for a 'sex robot' version that's only extra feature was to be able to nag me (in a Scottish accent). And I don't know how the hell I'm going to get rid of it when the time comes. Saw it into pieces? The 'sex robots' that are suppposed to be appearing this year should be called what they are - 'smart sex dolls'. Self-heating, realistic moans sensitive to being touched in the right places etc. Short of being able to move themselves around, which as Brian Sloan says isn't going to happen for decades, that's all that a customer could likely expect. |

Right now the technology is not there. Ten years from now... It might just be.
They are already making robots where you can say "carry this brick from point a to point b" and it will physically open up doors in order to accomplish the task. AI and robotics are going to make leaps and bounds in the next ten or twenty years. Pretty soon Cherry 2000 will be here... http://www.rockshockpop.com/screenca...y2000/01-1.jpg |

Someday I'll have my circa 1996 Carmen Electra sex robot. She'll be on a chair in the corner of my office rubbing her pussy all day and watching me while I work, until I get the urge.
I just watched an episode of Slutever on Viceland (check it out, it's great) and the host was exploring sex robots. There's one guy who has what looks like could be the start of something good, but he's making the same mistake that a lot of the creators are...they're trying too hard to get the "personality and emotion" aspect correct, while the looks are still creepy and inhuman. If we're talking about an automaton designed strictly to fulfill a man's sexual desires, then worrying about AI conversation is putting the cart before the horse. I don't need to have a relationship. I want a hot thing I can bang whenever I want and not have to converse with. These geniuses should totally nail down the looks and performance first, then get to work on the humanity of the robot. Honestly, I'd be looking for the switch to turn that part off. I don't need to be asked how my day was. The designers/programmers making these robots look like guys who haven't done too well with women (and they admit it), so they're just designing their own. But what about the rest of us who can actually make social connections? Create a robot built like brick shit house that will fuck my brains out. That's where I want the design focused. |
Sex robots are the feature! :thumbsup
