New AC laws
Starting January 1, 2025, new air conditioners and heat pumps must use A2L refrigerants, which have a lower global warming potential (GWP). This is part of a new mandate from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reduce the use of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants.

went to visit a friend in Mexico last month and man she loves her a/c, had it blasting constantly.
