headed to montego bay, jamaica in 4 days. Going to spend a week at the Ritz Carlton!!! Anyone been there? how was it?

The Ritz at Montego is decent. If Alisha the concierge still works there you are lucky as hell. Dank, to say the least.

its mainly in the tourist areas anyway should be fine in the hotel grounds. Jamaica is pretty wild so much of your stay probably will consist of hanging out on the hotel grounds.. . nice safe buffered environment

Haven't been there, but have been to Negril for NegrilNet last year and it was a blast.

My advice is when the locals are trying to sell you stuff on the beach, say I am fine, if you don't want it. Don't say no thank you, or they will hound you and follow you down the beach...lol

I wanted to bring like a gram or 2 on the plane with me. Is this a really bad idea? How would you go about doing this? I would assume with all the searching nowadays it would be better to just stuff it into a pocket of some of my pants or some shit? Such a small amt. that I doubt I will have problems.

I've been to Jamaica many times, with a lot of different girls and I've never had much of a problem - I have absolutely no idea what the fuck you're talking about.

What I do notice is that people who act like prissy little assholes who think everybody is out to scam them, get fucked over. If you don't step outside of your hotel you'll be missing the best part of Jamaica.

You're not in fucking Kingston, and you're not walking down Maxfield Avenue, the area is safe, although the problem with Montego Bay is it's just too touristy, and to be honest, a little naff. Make sure you get out and travel around the island (rent a car), go interesting places, try Treasure Beach, or Port Antonio, go somewhere you're not surrounded by people too scared to leave their fucking compound.

Watch yourself leaving the resort area. I went to negril with a few friends, decent nugs, cheap shrooms, but watch yaself...outside the resort its like a 3rd world country.

a guy from our hotel that was hooking us up all week told us about a concert going on in kingston. He made it sound like it was kinda like a tourist event. The guy from the hotel didn't have a car and asked us if he could ride up there in the taxi with us, i wasn't too keen on going but my friends were like he seems cool so we went.

So that night we head out, now the dude said it was like 40 or 50 miles to Kingston so im thinking like we'll just jump on the highway and be there in under an hour....yeah right! i don't think we drove on a paved road. We drove thru a fucking jungle on dirt roads, thru small cities that had run down buildings, cars on fire, guys walking around with machine guns..it wasn't pretty.


So we end up at this concert...there was like 20,000 Jamaicans there, now im not talkin like ratsa men type but strait fucking THUGS. Me and my friends were literally the ONLY white people there.

When we entered into the place there were these big Steel barrel's filled with what looked like metal and wood but when i walked closer to see what it was those barrel's were full of knives, shanks, and bats the security at the show were pulling off people.


During the whole nite these little thugs would run up and put what looked like crushed up soap in our hands and say gimme $200.00, non stop....this shit was a nightmare. I swear i thought i was gonna die there.

STORY: last night (first night here) i went to go find some herb. i smoked the 2 joints i brought the first hour here. not much else to do but get high, lay on the beach, drink red stripes and look at topless, 40+ slightly overwieght/underracked women in search for fresh young meat. anyhow, i saw this rasta dude in the lobby here at the Ritz... he was wearing a red/gold/green camo sunhat, red bob shirt and gold pants. not to mention the dreds. i figured, this guy has to know where the good herb is.... so i walked up next to him in some bar here and was like, "wassup man... where's all the herb at?". "You found the right guy mon", he said. "Gimme 10 minutes and we will go up the street and get some", i was like... ummm... "ok". In the meantime, he had a cell phone on each hip in holsters like some rastafarian techowboy. finally, we walked out through the lobby into the front parking lot and got into some rickity ol van he had with bob stickers all over the inside. out onto the fucked up half paved road we drove for like 35 minutes up into the hills where the roads werent paved anymore. I dont remember seeing poverty stricken areas like this in freakin guatemala! pulled up in front of some food shack/church where they were having some gospel or something.... I gave him 100 bucks (60 weed, 40 hash) and he got out leaving us in teh van while he went into the church to score our weed. we waited like 20 minutes and finally the dude came out from the darkness. he got in and handed me this big ol plastic grocery bag with 4 HUGE kola's inside. I was like, "shit". I expected like a 1/4 of some good bud and what appeared at first to be chronic ended up being really fresh, moist (like 4 days picked) herb which turned brown overnight. oh well. im sure i will find something better w/in the time i leave here. the hash was good though. just hard to smoke these joints. The papers this guy gave me were like 6 inches long and 3 inches wide so basically ive been smoking wet brown blunts. oh ya, the ride home was fine besides the cop that was following our van. off to go swimming in the 86 degree water!!!

not sure, with a cell phone its cheap. i think its really expensive from the hotel. they said 2.88/min service charge but i have a feeling there is more to it than just that.

Is weed good there ?

not that i expected it to, but not much herb is like we grow in CA.
