He's kinda' funny sometimes, but I mean jesus I wouldn't beat off to him and order HBO just for him. Theres better shows like Six Feet Under/Entourage among others.... just my :2 cents:

I've got the coolest TV in town... as far as I know nobody else around here still has a big dish. These days you can combine a couple of relatively inexpensive receivers and LNBs for some very cool stuff... lots and lots of very cool (ahem, free) stuff :thumbsup

Well damn crowkid, I didn't mean to make it sound like I have a crush on Bill Maher or anything (although he is kinda sexy in his own sort of way :winkwink:)

Big dish programming is ordered ala carte... you order a quarter, half-year or full year (for example) of HBO and they don't renew you if you don't respond to their renewal. I have more crap available than I could ever watch, I have an mpeg receiver slaved to a 4DTV receiver giving me at minimum 2000 feeds and I spend a great time of my TV time exploring that, but movies I generally catch in theater or on DVD. Much like I only bought Showtime during QAF season, I buy HBO when Bill's on. Other than that I have too much other stuff I'm checking out :upsidedow

I'll watch an HBO show or two just because I have the digital package.

"Sucks" as profanity
The term "sucks" originated from a family of decidedly vulgar dysphemisms invoking oral sex (such as "that sucks dick", a relative of the insult " cocksucker ") but as it became divorced from the sexual meaning (normally used intransitively ) it progressed from profane status to that of slightly impolite slang. It is used mainly in two contexts: To indicate unpleasantnessor low quality ("the weather sucks today") or to indicate a low level of competency (" George W. Bush sucks at public speaking") that have no relation to the sexual meaning.

In the more classical context of reference to suction, "sucks" does not, and neverdid, have any profane status. To describe a vacuum as "sucking up dirt" or to claim that a hobby "sucks up my time" has neverbeen considered objectionable.

Fellatio-invocative phrases such as "that sucks dick" or "that sucks a big one" are still considered vulgar.
