Spending the afternoon on a DYNO, like a colostomy?

What a great day ;) I feel totally refreshed. I have no idea what a colostomy feels like, but I imagine it may be similiar.

So crisp. So clean. So fast.
*sighs*

Anyone out there that hasn't added a chip to thier stock ride, its time to reconsider.

Doubt many peeps here have used a dynometer before.

I used one daily years ago. Was part of my job. Sat behind a bullet proof window while doing so. Only had one come apart. Actually the harmonic balancer seperated and flew threw the wall.

Still pickin the pieces out of yourself? lol
That had to be a nerve wracking job. I always cringed whenever they applied the load and jacked up the rpms.

Best to put the control station in front of the engine. When something comes loose it goes up down or to the side.

We used a water brake dyno and started the test with full throttle under max load, then you slowly decrease the load and record the info as the rpms climbed until you reach your redline.

The small block circle track engines were the nastiest, we spun them dam near twice as fast as the big blocks.

I used to work at a speed shop tubbing out cars and doing chassis work. Next door to us was Kinetics (Michigan) and whenever they had the dyno running it would make my skin crawl. I dropped in to check it out when they were running the dyno on some hydroplane motors and I almost shit myself when they started to load the motor. It scared me. Even though the operator was sitting on the other side of the bullet proof glass and sand filled wall, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. If you ran a dyno you have balls of steel :)

a colostomy? a colostomy is an operation to remove your colon and then leave you with a hole through which they attach a bag to feed you.
