Depends on what output format you want, what OS you're dealing with, and how much you want to spend.

For Windows, decent price, most output formats, I'd say Vegas Video, if price is no object, I've heard Avid is the shit

For Mac, I'd go with Final Cut Pro.

I have been using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 for a few weeks now and I fucking love it...the new interface in 2.0 is freaking amazing

it BLOWS premiere 1.5 out of the water as far as accessibility and ease of use

I use Final Cut Pro HD for mac for my editing

Windows movie maker all the way baby!

This is not the best board to ask, IMO.

I vote for Vegas 6 as well.
