Prosper.com - Anybody use it?
 

I have a few friends who have been making OK money from prosper...

was just curious if any of u guys use it? www.prosper.com

Looks interesting, although unsure if id trust putting my money there

it is a little fragile feeling but here are a few good points:

• You can select a collection agency and use them if your borrower goes bad on a payment. they of course charge a fee
• There is a credit score along with other items such as "owns a house" , etc that u can use to judge people
• The minimum bid is $50 bucks.... so if you get a guy who seems really high risk u can put a few bucsk on him @ a high int rate and then a few more bucks on a guy with great credit and history -- that way u kinda diversify the risk.

Im going to try it out a little bit and maybe start with 1k.

i was going to try and borrow some money but my stupid state has the interest capped at 6% so no one is going to risk and internet loan for that...........

I use it....over 30 loans in my acct right now...making 16.7%

It works good...Just spread your money out over multiple loans...Less risk obviously :-P

I have used it. Made a few hundred dollars loaning people money. Nothing big yet.

man the bidding gets crazy i have been outbid on a ton of loan already

Interesting. Do they have an affiliate program?

As to lending tho, I think I could get an insanely higher return with domain names.

There is no affiliate program, but you can make $ from setting up a group and recruiting ppl to it.

ave int rate is 11.1% for me... nobody has missed a single payment.
