I Need a New Server **Spam Me**

This is going to be a secondary server used to be a warm standby in case my current host implodes (see here for details) and if they dont implode it will be a development/testing box and a place for backup files to go.

Here are the requirements:

- Intel P3/P4/Xeon (No Celeron, No AMD)
- Gentoo or FreeBSD ***ONLY***
- 80 GB HDD or Better
- 512 MB Ram or better
- 32 IPs (More is Fine, Less is Not)
- 1 TB Xfer/Month Cap or 2mbps (95th Percentile)
- Physical Location Unimportant
- Turnup on Sept 18, 2006. Not Before, Not After.
- Quarterly Payment via Western Union, 2CheckOut, eGold or Money Order ONLY. No ePassporte, No PayPal, No Third-Party Processing, No Merchant Accounts.

Start spamming your prices. And dont tell me to hit you up. Insert your offer here or dont bother.

Are these prices before or after you roll out the huge savings? That box is a little higher end than what I want right now... I think your pricing is good for the box but I am looking for a lower end box.

Well before the savings.. ;) I would certainly reduce the price further for a XEON setup with lower end equipment.

Nice box and a good price for it, but higher end than what I need in a standby/backup box... I want a cheaper box to keep on hand as a backup box because I honestly dont think it will ever have to come online to handle everything... it will likely be a place for a second DNS server and a place to put backup files.

I'll match OC3's offer with the 2.8GHz XEON, 1G of ram and dual 250GB HDDs (RAID 1 or not, your choice), 3mbps (95th percentile) if you wanted to do quarterly installments.

if you are matching with those specs it's a great offer indeed BUT if you give him a /27 what wil you have for your self since you only have a /24 SWIPED to your comapny name? :winkwink:

If you think RealPro has but a single /24 swipped to our name you are greatly mistaken. Furthermore, if you must resort to feebly attacking a competitor in hopes to gain market share OC3 is in worse shape than I had imagined. Cheers!

I can go down to $149.00 with the same machine specs and 4Mbps Capped. That is about the best I can do, unless you want to go 3Mbps capped, but that might hold you back a bit. With 3Mbps capped I will do $139.00.

i recently setup a test box here on a small mainstream project.

my critical boxes are at webair, but gotta admit the pages on this test box do
load fast and Joe was helpful.

not hyping it, just telling the truth.

Ah well, you're not on ICQ and I have to run here in a few. I am intrested in this... can you clarify what price would be? There have been a couple of different offers from OC3 here... which one are you matching?

Also, what OS and where would this box physically be? Could I get a test file and test IP to check out the network?

Hit me up when you get around. We'll talk.

Aren't we mighty presumptuous! Out of curiosity how could you possibly have any insight into the size of our operation? I have no reason to prove anything to you. I'm sure people here would be much happier to see you meet or beat our offer, rather than trying to inflate your own ego. This isn't about me or you... or even RealPro vs. OC3. Quit high jacking the thread if you're not going to contribute.
