Pretty sad state of affairs here in the US.
|
Incredible. I suppose freedom of speech is only free so long as you don't offend anybody.
Granted, what he said was crass and inappropriate, but I hardly see it as being more than a flippant comment by an asshole. Then again, I don't take everything to heart, my ego isn't that shallow. |
Sattlelite radio will be his new home.
|
He'll probably end up on satellite now after all this has calmed down.
|
That's fucking insane.
It reminds me of the recent Big Bro over here in the UK, where certain comments made by the white people were all over the newspapers and tv, yet the "white trash" comments made back at them in the house went apparently unnoticed... |
You can blame OBAMA for this one, the black community leaders are trying to get "guilt votes" for a black president.
|
Anyone got a link?

If the XM and Sirius merger doesn't go through I'd look for him to land on XM. He is close with Opie from The Opie and Anthony Show and they need to fill out their channel some more (they were supposed to get a second channel eventually).
|
|
I blame the Dominionists
|
All it is saying is that MSNBC is dropping the simulcast of the radio show - the show is not COMPLETELY OFF OF THE AIR ... YET
|
What an absolute pile of crap. Just wow...
|
I can't believe this junk is actually crowding the front page of news. First Anna Nicole, now this. Our news has become entertainment, senseless drama.
I'd be surprised if Imus' show actually gets canned. But who knows nowadays. |
Just the broadcast of the show on Cable tv was dropped. it sounds like the radio show is fine for now but i wouldn't be surprised if they drop him next.
|
I guess there were some nappy headed hoes on the board of directors
|
un FUCKING believeable
|
He is not the only radio guy to get canned for "racial" remarks ...

People confuse the constitutional right of "Freedom of Speech" with employers being able to fire you for wiping your ass the wrong way. You aren't protected from someone firing you for saying something by the constitution, you're protected from the government passing laws against your right to free speech.
That said, I think it's weak they fired him. |

AGAIN, DON IMUS WAS NOT FIRED! |

The fact that he is being persecuted like this just goes to show there is an active campaign to censor ANY WHITE MALE who would say anything remotely insensitive. |
what hypocrisy :
Artist: Fugees Album: Blunted on Reality Song: Nappy Heads Stevie Wonder Song: “nappy headed little boy” Artist 2Pac Album Until The End of Time Released March 27, 2001 Label Interscope Song F**k Friendz Song: “I can’t stand no sneaker wearing, nappy haired bi*ch” “while you trickin’ on them other hoes” |
Yet another situation where it gets to totally cutting freedom of speech. So what, his comment was offensive. It's obviously "ok" when one black person calls another black person a "fucking black piece of black shit ho", but when a white guy comes out a bit against the taste buds of the black community it's a public outcry? Give me a fucking break. Same goes for any race when it's about slurs against white people,...it's all ok then, cause we sure don't have a voice that's heard anymore.
MSNBC could have a bit of a backbone as well,...but as usual, it's corporate america that dictates what freedom of speech really means. |
If Howard Stern said the same thing there wouldn't be a big media fiasco over it. They'd be like, yep... thats howard stern

When you look at a picture of Imus isn't it kind of funny him calling someone else nappy headed... What's up with his doo.
On another note, his show is so fuckin' boring that this situation was a gift to MSNBC. |
