Paid content's greatest enemy

Well all the piracy works for the Advertising companies, I doubt much really goes to the artists.
It seems now a days most things are made for the advertising value and creative merit is an afterthought. Look at the Writers strike as of recent. The broadcasting companies are happy with the the "FREE" distribution and digitized content. Internet distribution easily clouds where the money goes and most of it goes out of the artists pockets. YouTube and P2P to a degree have larger agreements with companies like Viacom that generate revenue for advertising dollars. You tie down the 3 largest ISP's and follow the trail and it leads back companies like Viacom. |
