Generating Cash at Night ::::: NEED ADVICE
 

I have a buddy of mine who is working nights as a security guard.

All he does from midnight to noon is stare at a bunch of screens. Actually, he doesnt even need to look at them, the motion sensors will pickup anything that moves and warn him.

So basically he has ALOT of free time to kill. Unfortunately, they don't give him internet access, he could probably get it if he had a really really good reason, but for the sake of this thread, lets assume he won't.

Now, what is trying to figure out is a way to monetize all of his free time. He has access to a computer (no net) and nothing to do.



What do you guys suggest he could do to make some extra money? He doesn't know much about making websites, but he's a fast learner.



And if any of you have some grunt work to be done that doesn't need immediate internet access, my guy could probably do it.

If he's good at typing, usually there are college students who pay to have their essays typed out nicely. Check the local campus postings.

You could set him up a blog or two or have him learn how to do it. Then he can write posts using any normal text editor and upload them when he gets home. Just have him download a bunch of FHG urls and thumbs to choose from and then write away. There is a program I have used before called Zoundry raven that he could use to automatically upload the posts when he connects to the internet.

Is the internet thing a technical or administrative limitation? If it's the former, have you considered a wireless modem?

download a lot of pictures crop them at work. right up a lot of blog posts at work. take an hour to post them when he gets home. Have him sign up to dating gold using my sig for the idea

How does he feel about flirting with desperate dudes trying to get them to sign up to dating/cam sites?

I have a friend in the same exact position. 3rd shift security guard really doesn't do anything... except my friend HAS internet access and does all of his php work etc... he makes good money. Basically get him verizon wireless access and let his do his thing online.

He can make websites and crop images and stuff while hes offline... you don't need to be online to do that... when he gets home, he can backup the old files and upload the new... rinse... repeat.

Wish I could do this while at work - that would be a hoot!
