The results of my 90 days workout (PICS)

All Right, First let's see how did I manage to fuck myself up:

I've been very physically active till my say 24 years of age, was in good shape and had no problems whatsoever, guess I was always a party überanimal, but worked out a lot, ate healthy, drank a lot of water, had constant fun etc.

THEN I moved to Prague and switched to the routine of hectic nightlife / heavy boozing, occassional smoking, empty sexual encounters and lack of sleep, attending the university and holding a full time executive job in adult over the night.

Add a couple events that I wish never had happened, that left me seriously wounded, depressed, questioning my last beliefs in humanity and I was on the best way to slowly kill myself.

In July last year, I realized I just couldn't work the way I used to, basically had no energy whatsoever, low blood pressure, couldn't get no rest even I could sleep for 10 or 12 hours and my mind just didn't work well.

In November, after four months, I finally went to see the doctor.

They couldn't figure out what's wrong, sent me to all kinds of tests, at the end they found out my kidneys are fucked from the long term abuse with all kinds of various toxins, and the recovery is only possible if I fix my self destructive habits, and is going to take at least 6 months.

So I decided it's time to move,

Quit the job, became a complete abstinent (for three months to clean up), moved out of Prague, which I always hated and the city indeed hated me back, moved to my first college city, where I always felt good.

Sober since December, I moved in in January, in February, as I started to feel somehow better, I started my intense work out routine.

The following is the state from February 3rd, the day before I started:

As you see, it's scary - that's not the tiger that used to cause a hurricane in the female bedroom, that's not the guy that used to do 50 push ups for breakfast without loosing breath.

This is an overweight wasted beer belly dude that can't even ask the girls his age out, cause they'd call a 911.

I'll post the after pics in a bit...

CarlosTheGaucho 05-05-2010 04:04 AM

A couple necessary things for the start:

- junk food and fast food doesn't exist
- wheat doesn't exist
- beer doesn't exist

The groceries:

- corn spaghetti
- beans
- corn
- mozarella
- tuna fish - tons of tuna fish
- eggs
- vegetables if applicable

Drinks:

- only water
- instant fake cofee

Supplements:

- liquid amino acids before and after the training
- 95 pct. proteine to use before the sleep on a day when I work out with weights

Training:

4 - 6 trainings a week, meaning:

2- 4x cardio

2 x weights

nico-t 05-05-2010 04:47 AM

wow, huge improvement in only 3 months.... good work
i didnt have a huge gut like you ;) but just a little fat about 5 weeks ago when i started my training routine... i can see the improvements already. And i still drink alot in weekends, and barely changed the way I eat, only thing i changed is that i barely eat fat fastfood late at night anymore.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 05-05-2010 04:48 AM

well, i haven't quite drank and smoked those pounds on yet,. i'm not quite forming any mantitties, but i defnitely got one hellof a beer belly on it's way. i'm fucking near getting close, lol.

i quit smokign months ago, roommate is trying to rehabilitate my shitty diet. i play road hockey often enough that i consider it physical activity. should probably start going to the gym though, lol. it's good to see that people can actually see a positive improvement like that in 90 days with some determination. i need to workout a routine for myself over these summer months i guess.

it's just so easy to drink, get stoned, and eat shit food, then sit around the rest of the time clicking buttons, lol.

good work so far man.

Grisey 05-05-2010 04:53 AM

Congrats man nice to see some real effort into making the changes.

Quagmire 05-05-2010 04:56 AM

I've been trying to clean up my habits, but beer is a real sonofabitch to give up. That, and steak. :(

CarlosTheGaucho 05-05-2010 05:01 AM

Thanks for the props everybody!

If I could make it you can make it too, as cliche as it sounds it's true.

good work so far man.

I also went on rampage on two weekends, once when I was to see my old college buddy at the other town, and once when he came to see me in my town, so yeah I wasn't totally "clean" for the whole time, but whenever you waste yourself you just have to switch back to the clean regime I guess.

CunningStunt 05-05-2010 05:04 AM

Doing well.

Excercise daily, hard, for an hour, eat sensibily, that's all you need.

Mickey_ 05-05-2010 05:21 AM

Photoshop.

j/k, keep it up Carlos. :thumbsup

AmigoPorn 05-05-2010 05:27 AM

Nicky 05-05-2010 05:43 AM

Keep up the good work. I'm working on losing some of the extra weight I put on over winter. My eating(atleast on weekends) and drinking habits are unchanged though, I just have to work out harder :P

Nice work Carlos.

TheSenator 05-05-2010 06:20 AM

Congrats! Take some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes to get into crazy fighting shape.

Tam 05-05-2010 06:31 AM

Very nice, congrats. The main thing is that you are looking after yourself now. Sometimes it takes a health scare to get our heads in the right place when it comes to our bodies...... and that's when we find out we aren't quite as invincible as we once thought we were. So congrats for listening when your body told you what was happening...... most don't. :thumbsup

Serial Pervert 05-05-2010 06:36 AM

great job! i wish i wasn't so lazy... i do need doind it too

Doug of Montreal 05-05-2010 07:07 AM

DUDE! NICE! That's bloody awesome! Think--that only took 90 days. Can you imagine where you'll be after another 90?!

I'm two weeks short of my 90 days... my results aren't quite the same, but I'll be in shape for summer, that's for sure ;)

Keep rockin it!

spazlabz 05-05-2010 07:10 AM

incredible start you have a lot to be proud of there. It is also cool that you included your dietary changes as well. Good luck with future progress

Choopa Phil 05-05-2010 07:12 AM

Caligari 05-05-2010 07:15 AM

I used to work out in the past and used to be full of muscle couple years ago (I used to bench press cca 240 pounds), so it's not like I would be totally out of muscle before I started, I just managed to get a huge beer belly, so I guess that's what got affected the most..

Good job man! Now coming from a guy who's been there done that, what is next is simple:

You need more of a water intake-
Lighter reps but much much more of them.
ZERO processed foods.

Other then that you're almost done and again, great job. So what is your maintenance plan?

Yeah I bought me a water filter, so that's not a question, I only drink water or alcohol anyway :)

Also doing lighter reps, I'm like at 60 pct. of the weights I was able to do in my early 20's, but I don't want to be a heavy bruiser, more like keeping myself in steady shape.

I've passed the army limit for endurance already, and got my pulse under 60 / minute, so once I get even more endurance I'd probably like to try a little bit of boxing again, like shadow and heavy bag (did a little bit in my list high school year) to keep in shape.

Klen 05-05-2010 07:25 AM

I drinking 2 liter beer right now :(

Fletch XXX 05-05-2010 07:26 AM

to all, I suggest just get a bike and riide. long time ago I started rebuilding old BMXs and riding every day, keeps me in shape.

I ride in morning, after lunch, and at night. ride with no hands and still surf the internet on blackberry LOL

John-ACWM 05-05-2010 07:42 AM

'definitely encouraging' at least, congrats, really!!!

Biking is great... but you really need upper body exercises if you're trying to get in shape.

Insanity? P90X anyone?? :)

DateDoc 05-05-2010 07:49 AM

That is great. I'm sure you feel a lot better.

michael.kickass 05-05-2010 07:53 AM

Hey, that's great progress, keep it up pal. I'm really surprised.
:thumbsup

BigDeanEvans 05-05-2010 07:56 AM

Nice job shedding some of that bodyfat!

make sure you're diet is in check by taking 1 to 1 1/2 grams of protein per body weight, proper carbs (oats, yams, brown rice) proper fats (omega 3 and omega 6, flax seed oil, olive oil) and 5 to six meals a day

zabijaq 05-05-2010 08:02 AM

Love your old tits, eat fat food and keep them growing :D

Raf1 05-05-2010 08:07 AM

keep it up man, you're doing great

bronco67 05-05-2010 08:07 AM

You should be able to have even more empty sexual encounters with the new body, so add it back into your lifestyle. It is burning calories, BTW.

CaptainHowdy 05-05-2010 08:16 AM

You got ripped...

Tom_PM 05-05-2010 08:21 AM

Lookin good! Congrats on positive change.

dyna mo 05-05-2010 08:28 AM

Feels much better,

I wonder if I'll make the same progress in another 90 days, still have quite some fat to get rid off

I was scaling the burning process from 400 calories a day the first month to 500 calories a day the second month and eventually 600 calories a day the third month.

You can see the loose skin.
