im not understanding all these .tv huge renewal fees.. i have some primo .tv's that were $30 to register and $30 renewals, $500 a year is crazy to me

The .tv registry marks some names as "premium" and those names have to be registered at the registry (enom.tv) at higher rates. I've had names like Slut.tv and DVD.tv with higher premium rates, and Sex.tv for instance was originally a $1 million/yr premium (the registrant likely negotiated the rate down for a longterm registration).
