:mad Google, SEO, and the "deadly drop"

Few things, I was mainly curious about the adult industry and how good old google has affected your USA SEO Traffic as of late.

(Instead of repeating what is going on over here in this chat, here is the link to google forums)
google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/thread?tid=6f17a9584fec0038&hl=en

A decent site I was managing until it was smacked by Google's new "Panda" algorithm:
https ://skitch.com/crazyvipa/fufre/dashboard-google-analytics
This was a very recently launched (about 2-3 weeks and strongly rising) ... then BAM. I'm a stats freak, and when I woke up in the morning, I thought the servers were down, lol.

What I'm wondering is, who out there is winning (and loosing) this battle? Are you hand writing your info? Dynamically running? Not even affected?

Hopefully, Panda will stop throwing sticks at people who actually take care of their sites.

Panda

It's a forum (the one I have in my sig) - most of the content is just pictures and videos with nicely optimized meta tags, but that's about it. There's hardly any unique text in the thread content.

Do you mind sending me the link of the website with such huge traffic drop? It's possible that Google penalized it.

Hand written quality content does the above. Keyword targeting using Market Samurai.

nudecelebsrock.me is the site -- was on a great increase then over night went down hill. I looked in our 'webmaster central' -- no crawl errors, html suggestions -- even the error logs are clean.

I've checked your site, and checked the Google index as well. You have around 20,000 pages indexed and you're not ranking well for any of them.

The only way I can find your site on Google is when I type "nudecelebsrock.me", other than that - You're site doesn't come up at all!

From what I've seen, it looks like Google penalized your site. Even though we can't know for sure, but you could do the following:

- Source code of all of your pages is messy, remove the white spaces, align all meta tags properly.
- Add keywords meta tag

Most penalties are either a month, or maybe even few months. Time will tell I guess.

Good luck!

Awesome, lol.... well -- I setup a quick redirect for www (maybe duplicate pages, which should show in webmaster tools, but it doesnt), I'll have to get to the minify'n part later today. Will get to the rest of the HTML changes later, hoping that will do the trick.

I wish google would give an explanation. Meh, what's done is done.

I thank ya for replies

My sites are all hand-written and I did not notice any change in traffic with the panda update. I did however get a couple of blogs that dropped from pr2 to pr1 but that wasn't too bad and it only happened to two, some others have gone up so I'm in the clear.

I woke up many times thinking why google decided to drop my page, but after a while I'm always glad it's happening. It mostly takes 2-3 weeks of being thrown at the end of search results, but... (!) when my website comes back it's on much better position than it was before (I mean by this 20-30% more google traffic than before).

It already happened 6-8 times, last time I thought it was Panda effect, but then my website came back stronger (without any changes made by me). So honestly for me let it be Panda, Kangaroo or Turtle - I don't care!
