Embarrassed newbie has a question

Some of you might think..geez..if this guy is this stupid he shouldnt even be here.. but I'm gonna ask this anyway: I want to start submitting gallerys to TGP/MGP sites.. the thing is..I've never done such a thing before and am kinda lost on how to go about it. I have a gallery builder ( of sorts).. thats as far as i have gotten. But arent you suppose to link the content of the gallery back to yourself in someway in order to get click credit? My builder doesnt have such a thing. Also it seems I need to add a 2257 link at the bottom of any submitted gallerys and i cant do that with my builder either.. how can I add that? I know..I'm an idiot.. but no one started off a professional in anything

There are no dull questions, only dull answers. Anyway I have no experience with TGPs, sorry. Someone else will surely help you.

I've bookmarked this thread, I'd love to learn the answer myself (fellow newb to all this)

adding the 2275 is easy, all you need is a downloadable program to alter the php code (that's how I did it, at least) but I'm at a loss as far as the pics go

I can suggest a program to use for php if you like, but there's probably an easier way to do that (I don't know what the hell I'm doing with TPGs)

I hope you get some info (a little selfishly, I'll admit)

well 2257 is necessary, if you are promoting sponsor content you can link to that sites 2257 page (link found at bottom of site tour). as far as linking content. Most tgps list their rules on the submit page. Usually you link your thumbnail images to just the big image. banners obviously link to tour.

i used kompozer html editor to build my galleries when i did them. It gives you the option of linking thumbs to big image

hope that helps

The network will track everything

Hi,

I agree, there are no stupid questions! Your question about the 'click credit'. If you work with an affiliate network then they will track everything for you, so you do not need to. Mostly they have a statistics tool in their backend where you can see all your results.
However there are more interesting business models then CPC. (cost per click) You should look at PPS (Pay per sign up) or Revenue- share.

And did you ever thought about your mobile traffic? How to make money out of them? If you check out VPSMobile.com you can easily start a white label in your own look and feel . You should really try this to get feeling with everything. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me!

Good luck!

Linking the content of the gallery to an affiliate program would be considered a blind click, and is usually against the rules of most TGPs. The thumbnails of each gallery should link to its respective full-sized image. However, you can place a banner[s] somewhere on the page with your affiliate tracking link. Banners are provided by most affiliate programs, or you can make your own.

Get out of the generator. Learn to write html by hand first.

If you are going to insist on using a builder and you need to add things the generator cannot do then export your html pages and adjust the code by hand to include the links you want/need.

Problem is, with most generators, if you open the files in the builder after you have manually changed them the program either will: 1. Not recognize the changes or 2: error out or 3: screw all your code up.

just my

Welcome to the zoo.

I agree, you have to learn HTML/PHP. It's really not that hard and you learn as you go. I use EditPad Lite for editing my files.

If you dont know html or php coding the n you should use something simple like microsoft frontpage or microsoft expression for web page design.,

a gallery is nothing but a web page with links to images and the join now link to the sponsor with your link code.,

try tizag[dot]com they have explained very well about html and php learning.

Thanks
