Hi everybody,

I am working on a cam site project with a few friends for about 2 years now. We are almost finished and I need some help.

I have been in this board for a while now and learned a lot while reading through many threads. My problem is that I couldn't figure out how much money I'll need for the advertising part of a new cam site.

We planned big advertising campaigns on tube sites but I have totally no idea how the ctr or convertion will be so it's kind of hard to find out how much money we will need to get our site known.

In the next few weeks I'll meet with some people who might invest in this project so I want to be sure on how much money is needed for advertising to really get a lot of people on our site.

Also we are not sure where to host our project can anybody recommend a good and stable adult hoster with a 1 gbps unmetered connection?

I am not a expert on advertising by any means but it has to be something special, the standard banner on a site is dying out and surfers are kind of blind to them...take a look at some of the manwin flash video banners that they run on tubes for their paysites, I guess that they will have a really high click thru rate. But for cams it will be different of course.

For hosting try AmeriNoc they have some good deals at good prices.

You had better have a damn big wallet, be prepared for no sleep for a considerable period of time and get up close and comfortable with friendly fraud. Aint that damn easy; need enough models online to keep paying members and enough paying members to keep the models around. Paying models per hour initially will keep them around until paying members populate the site. Not to mention the cash to pay BW, models and traffic buys etc before you see the first dime; say 60 days. Unless you already have traffic you can divert (like from a dating site) to the cams life will be miserable.

Thanks for your help Gozarian. Friendly fraud / carding is something I have totally lost out of my eyes during the project.

I have enough women for the start and I also have a few people who wants to invest and I realized that you'll need a big wallet for such a project but what I really don't know is if I'll need like 50.000, 150.000 or even more for the advertising part. In my optinion the whole project stands and falls with paying visitors and it is damn hard to calculate how much the traffic will bring you.
