1$ 3 days trials - Rebills 29.95$ monthly

I've started my own online dating site.

I know that not many people will sign up straight for a 29.95$ monthly plan so I was thinking to offer a sneaky 1$ 3 days trial that rebills automatically to a 29.95$ monthly membership unless they cancel during the 3 days trial.

Is it better to go for automatic monthly rebills or once every 3 months or 6 months? Since monthly rebills are more noticeable and they might cancel the membership by contacting the payment processor or their bank.

What's your opinion on this?

That's not really what I meant...

I want to know what is the cancel/chargeback ratio... how many people will not really notice the 29.95$ on their bank statements, and how many will cancel it immediately when they see the 1$ trial has actually turned into a 29.95$ monthly membership.

Would it be better to do only 1 charge every 3 months, for example 59.95$ every 3 months?

As many People don't check their Bank Statements for big Ammounts, I would go for the smaller one.

From a business perspective, you want to rebill as often as possible - Definitely once every month would be best. If you spread the billing period between 3 months, you give them more time to remember to cancel their subscription, thus forfeiting potential sales.

From my perspective it would seem like if I rebill them for 3 months every three months (59.95$ or 89.95$ every 3 months) they might forget it faster than a monthly membership?

Because they first go for the 1$ trial then it automatically rebills them 3 months, once every 3 months...

I look at big values rather than small at first as they are what cost me the most :/
