:stoned [Need Help] Installing the RSTGP script

Not sure if its a hosting issue or what, but I keep getting the 403 error when trying to use the RSTGP script.

If someone could help me I would be grateful.

TGPs are dead. I wouldn't bother.

That said, 403 is forbidden so it's probably going to be a permission issue on a file or directory.

Check your log files...usually logs/error-log or logs/error_log. It'll usually tell you exactly what the problem is.

Most of the scripts require your CHMOD to be set to 777.

If you are using a shared server - usually the cheapest hosting option - then you probably can't CHMOD settings to 777. Shared servers do this to prevent injection attacks from taking everybody on the server down.

Either upgrade your server or find someone who can help you setup the script with requiring CHMOD 777.

This is terrible advice btw. Don't use 777. This gives all users the ability to write to a file or directory. Assuming PHP or whatever scripting language you 're using runs as the user, 777 isn't necessary.

You need to contact your hosting, you need create a database for your domain under MySQL Management.
Database name and username should be the same with your Rstgp configuration.
And it should work well.
